For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

¹My God, whom I praise,
do not remain silent,
²for people who are wicked and deceitful
have opened their mouths against me;
they have spoken against me with lying tongues.
³With words of hatred they surround me;
they attack me without cause.
⁴In return for my friendship they accuse me,
but I am a man of prayer.
⁵They repay me evil for good,
and hatred for my friendship.

⁶Appoint someone evil to oppose my enemy;
let an accuser stand at his right hand.
⁷When he is tried, let him be found guilty,
and may his prayers condemn him.
⁸May his days be few;
may another take his place of leadership.
⁹May his children be fatherless
and his wife a widow.
¹⁰May his children be wandering beggars;
may they be driven⚓ from their ruined homes.
¹¹May a creditor seize all he has;
may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
¹²May no one extend kindness to him
or take pity on his fatherless children.
¹³May his descendants be cut off,
their names blotted out from the next generation.
¹⁴May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord;
may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.
¹⁵May their sins always remain before the Lord,
that he may blot out their name from the earth.

¹⁶For he never thought of doing a kindness,
but hounded to death the poor
and the needy and the brokenhearted.
¹⁷He loved to pronounce a curse—
may it come back on him.
He found no pleasure in blessing—
may it be far from him.
¹⁸He wore cursing as his garment;
it entered into his body like water,
into his bones like oil.
¹⁹May it be like a cloak wrapped about him,
like a belt tied forever around him.
²⁰May this be the Lord’s payment to my accusers,
to those who speak evil of me.

²¹But you, Sovereign Lord,
help me for your name’s sake;
out of the goodness of your love, deliver me.
²²For I am poor and needy,
and my heart is wounded within me.
²³I fade away like an evening shadow;
I am shaken off like a locust.
²⁴My knees give way from fasting;
my body is thin and gaunt.
²⁵I am an object of scorn to my accusers;
when they see me, they shake their heads.

²⁶Help me, Lord my God;
save me according to your unfailing love.
²⁷Let them know that it is your hand,
that you, Lord, have done it.
²⁸While they curse, may you bless;
may those who attack me be put to shame,
but may your servant rejoice.
²⁹May my accusers be clothed with disgrace
and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.

³⁰With my mouth I will greatly extol the Lord;
in the great throng of worshipers I will praise him.
³¹For he stands at the right hand of the needy,
to save their lives from those who would condemn them.

Jêh ri nau tâm rmot nsro ma nau gâp rŏng.
⁶Ăn du huê bunuyh ƀai mra chiă uănh păng.
Ăn du huê bunuyh phong gŭ mpeh pa ma păng.
⁷Tơlah bu phat dôih păng, ăn bu kơp păng tih jêh;
Jêh ri ăn bu kơp, nau păng mbơh sơm jêng nau tih.
⁸Ăn ƀon păng jêng djê̆,
Ăn du huê nơm êng djôt kan păng.
⁹Ăn phung kon păng jêng kon đơi mbơ̆,
Jêh ri ur păng jêng bu ur ndrô khĭt sai.
¹⁰Ăn phung kon păng jêng phung nsong mblêng, jêh ri nsong dan dăn ndơ bu;
Ăn khân păng joi kapŭng, ngai đah ntŭk khân păng gŭ, sat rơch jêh.
¹¹Ăn nơm tâm pit, sŏk pit lĕ rngôch ndơ păng geh;
Jêh ri ăn phung bu năch, sŏk rdu lơi play tă bơh kan păng.
¹²Lơi ăn du huê ƀư ueh ma păng;
Jêh ri mâu lĕ, ăn du huê yô̆ ma phung kon păng kon đơi mbơ̆.
¹³Ăn bu koh lơi phung kon sau păng;
Jêh ri jut lơi amoh păng tâm rnôk kandơ̆.
¹⁴Ăn Yêhôva kah gĭt ma nau kue phung mbơ̆ păng;
Jêh ri lơi jut ôh nau tih me păng.
¹⁵Ăn khân păng gŭ ƀaƀơ ta năp Yêhôva
Gay ma păng koh lơi nau kah gĭt, khân păng bơh neh ntu;
¹⁶Yorlah khân păng mâu kah gĭt, ƀư nau yô̆ ôh.
Ƀiă lah khân păng ƀư mhĭk ma phung rêh ni, ma nơm o ach.
Nđâp ma nơm geh nuih n'hâm chah rai, gay ma nkhĭt lơi khân ôbăl.
¹⁷Păng rŏng ma nau rtăp rak, jêh ri nau nây tŭp ta păng.
Păng mâu maak ma nau ueh uĭn ôh,
Jêh ri nau ueh uĭn du ngai đah păng.
¹⁸Păng nsoh păng nơm ma nau rtăp rak, jêng bok ao păng.
Jêh ri nau rtăp rak nây, lăp jêh tâm păng nâm bu dak.
Jêh ri nâm bu ngi, gŭ tâm nting păng.
¹⁹Ăn nau nây jêng nâm bu bok ao păng prăp nsoh.
Jêh ri nâm bu du njăr rse, rêt kŭr bŭt păng rêt ƀaƀơ.
²⁰Tâm ban pô nây, jêng nau nkhôm ma phung rlăng gâp bơh Yêhôva;
Jêh ri ma phung ngơi nau ƀai ma huêng gâp.
²¹Ƀiă lah, Ơ Yêhôva, Kôranh Brah, ăn may ƀư nau yô̆ ma gâp, yor ma amoh may.
Yorlah nau ueh, may jêng toyh, tâm rklaih hom gâp;
²²Gâp jêng rêh ni jêh ri o ach,
Jêh ri nuih n'hâm gâp sôt jêh tâm gâp.
²³Gâp du hăn nâm bu gui trôk mhaơ.
Bu chiă gâp nâm bu krah.
²⁴Kô mâk gâp jêng rơ-ai ma nau ver sông sa;
Săk jăn mâu geh bêng ôh.
²⁵Gâp jêng ndơ ma khân păng rak lĕ.
Tơlah khân păng saơ gâp, khân păng rteh bôk.
²⁶Koh dŏng gâp, Ơ Yêhôva, Brah Ndu gâp,
Rklaih hom gâp, tĭng nâm nau ueh may.
²⁷Gay ma khân păng gĭt ti may yơh; may yơh, Ơ Yêhôva, ƀư jêh nau nây.
²⁸Lơi ăn khân păng suai rak, ƀiălah may ăn hom nau ueh uĭn.
Tơlah khân păng dâk, bu mra ƀư bêk khân păng,
Ƀiălah phung oh mon may mra răm maak.
²⁹Ăn phung rlăng đah gâp soh nau bêk.
Ăn khân păng soh khân păng nơm, ma nau bêk, nâm bu du bu lah ao mbâl.
³⁰Bâr mbung gâp mra tâm rnê, hâu ngăn ngên ma Yêhôva;
Nanê̆, gâp mra tâm rnê ma păng, ta nklang phung âk.
³¹Yorlah păng mra gŭ râng mpeh pa ma nơm o ach.
Gay tâm rklaih păng, bơh phung phat dôih huêng păng.
