Jonah Preaches at Nineveh
1Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying,
2“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.”
3So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent.
4And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then ⚓he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”
The People of Nineveh Believe
5So the ⚓people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them.
6Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth ⚓and sat in ashes.
7⚓And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying,
Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water.
8But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, ⚓let every one turn from his evil way and from ⚓the violence that is in his hands.
9⚓Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?
10⚓Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.

Yô-na Trĩh Yiang Sursĩ
1Vớt ki, Yiang Sursĩ táq ntỡng muoi trỗ ễn cớp Yô-na neq:
2“Mới yuor tayứng, chơ pỡq sanua toâp chu Ni-navê la vil toâr. Chơ mới catoaih atỡng máh cũai tâng vil ki dáng tễ máh santoiq cứq khoiq atỡng mới.”
3Ngkíq, Yô-na trĩh Yiang Sursĩ, cớp án pỡq chu vil Ni-navê. Vil Ni-navê la vil toâr lứq. Khân tayáh ayững, ki cóq pỡq pái tangái nŏ́q têq tacáng vil.
4Chơ Yô-na mut tâng vil ki cớp tayáh nheq muoi tangái, ki nŏ́q án pau atỡng neq: “Noâng pỗn chít tangái ễn vil Ni-navê cỡt ralốh nheq!”
5Tữ máh cũai tâng vil Ni-navê sâng santoiq ki, alới sa‑âm cớp noap ĩt santoiq Yiang Sursĩ. Chơ nheq tữh cũai, noap tễ cũai sốt toau toâq cũai proai, alới pruam muoi mứt ót sana cớp tâc tampâc tanúh, táq tếc alới ngin kho lôih.
6Tữ puo vil Ni-navê sâng tễ ranáq nâi, án yuor tễ cachơng puo tacu. Án tũot chíq tampâc puo, chơ án tâc tampâc tanúh ễn, cớp tacu tâng bŏ́h táq tếc án ngin kho lôih tê.
7Ngkíq, puo pau atỡng máh cũai proai tâng vil Ni-navê dáng neq: “Nâi la parnai puo cớp nheq máh ayững atĩ puo. Dũ náq cũai cớp dũ lám charán, ntroŏq cớp cữu, la tỡ têq bâiq tỡ la cha, tỡ la nguaiq muoi ramứh ntrớu.
8Cớp dũ náq cũai proai cóq tâc tampâc tanúh, dếh dũ lám charán la cóq acuam chóq aroâiq tanúh tê. Cóq dũ náq cũai câu sễq tễ Yiang Sursĩ nheq rangứh rahỡ, cớp cóq alới cachian táh nheq máh ranáq sâuq cớp ŏ́c loâi alới dốq táq.
9Cŏh lơ Yiang Sursĩ ralêq loah cỡt mứt tamái, cớp tỡ bữn cutâu mứt noâng chóq tỗp hái. Ngkíq, tỗp hái têq bữn vớt tễ ŏ́c cuchĩt nâi.”
10Toâq Yiang Sursĩ nhêng chu ranáq alới táq, án hữm alới tỡ bữn táq noâng ranáq lôih. Ngkíq, án rapĩen mứt pahỡm yỗn tamái ễn, cớp án tỡ bữn talốh noâng vil ki riang án khoiq dadŏq.
