Jonah Preaches at Nineveh
1Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying,
2“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.”
3So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent.
4And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then ⚓he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”
The People of Nineveh Believe
5So the ⚓people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them.
6Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth ⚓and sat in ashes.
7⚓And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying,
Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water.
8But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, ⚓let every one turn from his evil way and from ⚓the violence that is in his hands.
9⚓Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?
10⚓Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.

4Yônah čơdơ̆ng rơbat găn plei anŭn, giŏng kơ rơbat hơmâo sa hrơi, ñu laĭ pơthâo tui anai, “Amăng pă̱pluh hrơi dơ̆ng, plei Nineweh či răm rai yơh!”⚓
5Ƀing ană plei Nineweh đaŏ kơ boh hiăp Ơi Adai. Tui anŭn, ƀing gơñu ngă tui anai: Rĭm čô khŏm kŏm ƀơ̆ng huă, laih anŭn abih bang mơnuih čơdơ̆ng mơ̆ng ƀing yom prŏng hloh hlŏng truh kơ ƀing ƀu yom anet hloh čut ao tâo kiăng pơrơđah kơ tơlơi ƀing gơñu hơmâo kơhma̱l laih.
6Tơdang pơtao Nineweh hơmư̆ tơlơi anai, ñu tơgŭ mơ̆ng grê pơtao ñu, tŏh hĭ ao pơtao ñu, čut mă kơnơ̆ng ao tâo laih anŭn dŏ be̱r amăng hơbâo tơpur.
7Ñu mơit nao sa tơlơi laĭ pơthâo kơ ană plei Nineweh tui anai,
“Anai jing sa tơlơi pơtă mơ̆ng pơtao laih anŭn mơ̆ng ƀing mă bruă kơ pơtao:
“Ƀu hơmâo hlơi pô dưi ƀơ̆ng hơget gĕt ôh; abih bang mơnuih laih anŭn hlô mơnơ̆ng rong, khul rơmô, khul bơbe laih anŭn khul triu, brơi tŭ mă bĕ tơlơi khă kơ̆ng ƀu dưi ƀơ̆ng, kŏn dưi mơñum lơi.
8Abih bang mơnuih laih anŭn hlô mơnơ̆ng khŏm buh mă ao tâo. Rĭm čô khŏm iâu laĭ hăng tơlơi sĭt kơ Ơi Adai laih anŭn khŏm lui hĭ kơnuih sat ñu wơ̆t hăng khul bruă mă ƀrưh ƀai gơñu.
9Năng ai Ơi Adai či pơplih hĭ tơlơi pơmĭn Ñu laih anŭn tơlơi Ñu hil, tui anŭn ƀing ta ƀu či djai hĭ ôh!”
10Ơi Adai ƀuh tơlơi ƀing gơñu ngă; Ñu ƀuh ƀing gơ̆ hơngah lui hĭ kơnuih sat ƀai ƀing gơ̆ pô. Tui anŭn, Ñu pơplih hĭ tơlơi pơmĭn Ñu hăng ƀu pơrai hĭ ƀing gơ̆ dơ̆ng tah kar hăng Ñu hơmâo ƀuăn hlâo laih.
