For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of Asaph. A song.
  1God is renowned in Judah;
   in Israel his name is great.
  2His tent is in Salem,
   his dwelling place in Zion.
  3There he broke the flashing arrows,
   the shields and the swords, the weapons of war.⚓

   4You are radiant with light,
   more majestic than mountains rich with game.
  5The valiant lie plundered,
   they sleep their last sleep;
  not one of the warriors
   can lift his hands.
  6At your rebuke, God of Jacob,
   both horse and chariot lie still.

  7It is you alone who are to be feared.
   Who can stand before you when you are angry?
  8From heaven you pronounced judgment,
   and the land feared and was quiet—
  9when you, God, rose up to judge,
   to save all the afflicted of the land.
  10Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise,
   and the survivors of your wrath are restrained.⚓

   11Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them;
   let all the neighboring lands
   bring gifts to the One to be feared.
  12He breaks the spirit of rulers;
   he is feared by the kings of the earth.

  1Trong Giu-đa người ta biết Đức Chúa Trời,
   Danh Ngài thật vĩ đại giữa Y-sơ-ra-ên.
   2Đền Tạm của Ngài ở Sa-lem,
   Và nơi ngự của Ngài tại Si-ôn.
   3Tại nơi ấy, Ngài đã bẻ gãy những mũi tên lửa,
   Cái khiên, thanh gươm và vũ khí chiến tranh. (Sê-la)

   4Chúa rực rỡ, oai nghi
   Trở về từ các núi chiến lợi phẩm.
   5Các dũng sĩ đã bị cướp lột,
   Họ chìm sâu trong giấc ngủ mình;
  Chẳng một người mạnh dạn nào
   Nhấc nổi cánh tay mình.
   6Lạy Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp,
   Khi Chúa quở trách, ngựa và người cưỡi ngựa đều ngã chết.

   7Chính mình Chúa thật đáng sợ;
   Cơn giận Chúa vừa nổi lên,
   Ai đứng nổi trước mặt Chúa?
   8Từ trên trời, Chúa truyền sự phán xét,
   Thì đất sợ hãi và nín lặng.
   9Đức Chúa Trời trỗi dậy phán xét
   Để giải cứu các người nhu mì trên đất (Sê-la)

   10Cơn giận loài người hẳn sẽ ngợi ca Chúa;
   Còn cơn giận dư lại, Chúa sẽ ngăn cản.
   11Hãy hứa nguyện với Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời,
   Và thực hiện điều các ngươi đã hứa với Ngài.
  Mọi người ở chung quanh Ngài
   Hãy đem lễ vật dâng lên Đấng đáng kính sợ.
   12Ngài diệt tính kiêu ngạo của các quan trưởng;
   Các vua thế gian phải kính sợ Ngài.
