1Then Bildad the Shuhite replied: 2“How long will you say such things? Your words are a blustering wind. 3Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right? 4When your children sinned against him, he gave them over to the penalty of their sin. 5But if you will seek God earnestly and plead with the Almighty, 6if you are pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself on your behalf and restore you to your prosperous state. 7Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.
8“Ask the former generation and find out what their ancestors learned, 9for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow. 10Will they not instruct you and tell you? Will they not bring forth words from their understanding? 11Can papyrus grow tall where there is no marsh? Can reeds thrive without water? 12While still growing and uncut, they wither more quickly than grass. 13Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless. 14What they trust in is fragile⚓ ; what they rely on is a spider’s web. 15They lean on the web, but it gives way; they cling to it, but it does not hold. 16They are like a well-watered plant in the sunshine, spreading its shoots over the garden; 17it entwines its roots around a pile of rocks and looks for a place among the stones. 18But when it is torn from its spot, that place disowns it and says, ‘I never saw you.’ 19Surely its life withers away, and⚓ from the soil other plants grow.
20“Surely God does not reject one who is blameless or strengthen the hands of evildoers. 21He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. 22Your enemies will be clothed in shame, and the tents of the wicked will be no more.”

Yuaq ngkíq, Ncháu yỗn alới roap tôt tễ máh ranáq alới khoiq táq. 5Ma sanua, khân mới píh loah chu pỡ Yiang Sursĩ Sốt Toâr Lứq cớp rasễq tễ án, 6cớp khân mới lứq pĩeiq cớp tỡ bữn lôih ntrớu, ngkíq Yiang Sursĩ lứq toâq chuai mới toâp, cớp án culáh cóng mới, na chuai loah dống sũ mới tamái. 7Máh mun mới khoiq pứt, la tỡ bữn li cớp máh mun Yiang Sursĩ ễ yỗn loah mới. 8“Cóq mới blớh salĩq tễ ŏ́c roan rangoaiq tễ dỡi mbŏ́q. Tutuaiq salĩq tễ ranáq o achúc achiac hái khoiq rien. 9Dỡi tamoong hái la cakéh, cớp hái tỡ bữn dáng ntrớu, yuaq dỡi tamoong hái la samoât mul sâng tâng cốc cutễq nâi. 10Ma sễq yỗn máh cũai rangoaiq tễ dỡi mbŏ́q arĩen mới. Cóq mới tamứng máh ranáq alới pai neq: 11‘Nỡm lễc tỡ bữn dáh bân ntốq ŏ́q dỡq; cớp noau tỡ bữn hữm bát ki tâng talĩng ŏ́q dỡq. 12Khân dỡq sarễt, bát ki cỡt sangot khỗ bo noâng nhuam; án roŏh nheq, chơ hái tỡ têq roaiq ĩt tâc. 13Cũai tỡ bữn sa‑âm Yiang Sursĩ la samoât nỡm bát ki ơiq! Alới cỡt pứt nheq ŏ́c ngcuang la cỗ alới khlĩr chíq Yiang Sursĩ. 14Alới poâng tâng priei dai ca samoât alieiq apiang. 15Khân alới poâng canưm tâng alieiq apiang, ki nŏ́q têq ỡt khâm? Khân alới cucống priei dai, priei ki têq chuai alới tayứng tỡ?’ 16“Cũai sâuq cỡt toâr achỗn samoât bát ramoong o bo bữn moat mandang claq; chơ abễng acong án dáh sa‑ữi chũop rô. 17Máh rêh cuti talor pĩal nheq cốc tamáu, cớp apŏ́ng rêh chũop cốc tamáu tê. 18Ma ntun ki, noau rơq bát tễ ntốq ki, cớp tỡ bữn noau dáng pai khoiq bữn bát tâng ntốq ki. 19Máh cũai sâuq bữn ŏ́c bũi óh mahỗi sâng; ma ntun, bữn cũai canŏ́h ễn pláih loah alới. 20“Lứq samoât, Yiang Sursĩ tỡ bữn táh cũai tanoang tapứng; cớp án tỡ nai rachuai cũai táq ranáq sâuq. 21Án yỗn mới bữn cacháng muoi trỗ ễn, cớp yỗn mới triau cupo bũi óh loah. 22Ma án ễ táq yỗn cũai kêt mới cỡt casiet táq, cớp máh dống cũai loâi tỡ bữn bữn noâng.”
