Egypt and Her Allies Will Fall

¹The word of the Lord came to me again, saying, ²“Son of man, prophesy and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God:
⚓“Wail, ‘Woe to the day!’
³For ⚓the day is near,
Even the day of the Lordis near;
It will be a day of clouds, the time of the Gentiles.
⁴The sword shall come upon Egypt,
And great anguish shall be in Ethiopia,
When the slain fall in Egypt,
And they ⚓take away her wealth,
And ⚓her foundations are broken down.
⁵“Ethiopia, Libya, Lydia, ⚓all the mingled people, Chub, and the men of the lands who are allied, shall fall with them by the sword.”
⁶‘Thus says the Lord:
“Those who uphold Egypt shall fall,
And the pride of her power shall come down.
⚓From Migdol to Syene
Those within her shall fall by the sword,”
Says the Lord God.
⁷“They⚓ shall be desolate in the midst of the desolate countries,
And her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are laid waste.
⁸Then they will know that I am the Lord,
When I have set a fire in Egypt
And all her helpers are destroyed.
⁹On that day ⚓messengers shall go forth from Me in ships
To make the careless Ethiopians afraid,
And great anguish shall come upon them,
As on the day of Egypt;
For indeed it is coming!”
¹⁰‘Thus says the Lord God:
⚓“I will also make a multitude of Egypt to cease
By the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
¹¹He and his people with him, ⚓the most terrible of the nations,
Shall be brought to destroy the land;
They shall draw their swords against Egypt,
And fill the land with the slain.
¹²⚓I will make the rivers dry,
And ⚓sell the land into the hand of the wicked;
I will make the land waste, and all that is in it,
By the hand of aliens.
I, the Lord, have spoken.”
¹³‘Thus says the Lord God:
“I will also ⚓destroy the idols,
And cause the images to cease from Noph;
⚓There shall no longer be princes from the land of Egypt;
⚓I will put fear in the land of Egypt.
¹⁴I will make ⚓Pathros desolate,
Set fire to ⚓Zoan,
⚓And execute judgments in No.
¹⁵I will pour My fury on Sin, the strength of Egypt;
⚓I will cut off the multitude of No,
¹⁶And ⚓set a fire in Egypt;
Sin shall have great pain,
No shall be split open,
And Noph shall be in distress daily.
¹⁷The young men of Aven and Pi Beseth shall fall by the sword,
And these cities shall go into captivity.
¹⁸⚓At Tehaphnehes the day shall also be darkened,
When I break the yokes of Egypt there.
And her arrogant strength shall cease in her;
As for her, a cloud shall cover her,
And her daughters shall go into captivity.
¹⁹Thus I will ⚓execute judgments on Egypt,
Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”

Proclamation Against Pharaoh

²⁰And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ²¹“Son of man, I have ⚓broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and see, ⚓it has not been bandaged for healing, nor a splint put on to bind it, to make it strong enough to hold a sword. ²²Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Surely I am⚓against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will ⚓break his arms, both the strong one and the one that was broken; and I will make the sword fall out of his hand. ²³⚓I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them throughout the countries. ²⁴I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put My sword in his hand; but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he will groan before him with the groanings of a mortally wounded man. ²⁵Thus I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; ⚓they shall know that I am the Lord, when I put My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he stretches it out against the land of Egypt. ²⁶⚓I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.’ ”

Tangái ki bữn ramứl cũm cớp bữn ŏ́c cuchĩt pứt yỗn dũ cruang cũai. ⁴Ranáq yúc ễ toâq pỡ cruang Ê-yip-tô, cớp ŏ́c túh coat ntâng lứq toâq pỡ cruang Ê-thia-bi. Noau cachĩt sa‑ữi náq cũai tâng cruang Ê-yip-tô, noau pũr crơng alới, cớp noau táq yỗn cruang ki cỡt rangual.
⁵“Máh tahan noau chang tễ máh cruang Ê-thia-bi, Li-bia, Li-dia, Arap, Cup, cớp tahan noau chang tễ tỗp hái hỡ cuchĩt nheq cỗ tễ ranáq yúc ki.”
⁶Yiang Sursĩ pai neq: “Tễ vil Mic-dôl coah angia pỡng toau toâq vil At-van coah angia pưn, nheq tữh tahan ca curiaq cruang Ê-yip-tô, lứq cuchĩt nheq tâng ntốq rachíl. Tỗp tahan ca ỗt sác tễ cruang Ê-yip-tô, noau pupứt nheq alới. Cứq Yiang Sursĩ Ncháu Nheq Tữh Cũai pai máh santoiq nâi. ⁷Chơ cruang Ê-yip-tô ễ cỡt rangual sŏ́c clữi tễ ntốq canŏ́h tâng cốc cutễq nâi, cớp máh vil tâng cruang ki cỡt ralốh ralái nheq. ⁸Toâq cứq chŏ́ng cruang Ê-yip-tô, máh cũai tahan ca curiaq cruang ki cỡt pứt thréc nheq tê. Ngkíq, alới dáng samoât lứq cứq toâp la Yiang Sursĩ.
⁹“Tữ toâq tangái noau talốh cruang Ê-yip-tô, cứq ớn máh cũai pỡq na tuoc dững pau santoiq carchúc pỡ cũai Ê-thia-bi, alới ca chanchớm têq ỡt plot ien. Chơ alới ễ cỡt ngcŏh ayín tháng. Tangái ki khoiq cheq lứq chơ!”
¹⁰Yiang Sursĩ Ncháu Nheq Tữh Cũai pai neq: “Cứq ễ táq yỗn máh mun cruang Ê-yip-tô cỡt pứt nheq cỗ Nabũ-canêt-sa puo Ba-bulôn táq. ¹¹Puo ki cớp tỗp tahan án la tachoât lứq; alới ễ talốh nheq tâm cutễq ki. Alới ĩt dau cớp mut chíl cruang Ê-yip-tô; chơ tâng cloong cutễq cruang ki bữn moang sac cũai cuchĩt sâng. ¹²Cứq ễ táq yỗn crỗng Nil cỡt sarễt, cớp cứq ễ chiau cruang Ê-yip-tô pỡ talang atĩ cũai loâi. Máh cũai tễ cruang canŏ́h ễ toâq talốh pupứt cruang Ê-yip-tô. Cứq Yiang Sursĩ pai máh santoiq nâi.”
¹³Yiang Sursĩ Ncháu Nheq Tữh Cũai pai neq: “Cứq ễ talốh máh rup noau sang cớp máh yiang tỡ cỡn lứq yiang tâng vil Mem-phit. Ŏ́q noâng cũai cỡt sốt cruang Ê-yip-tô; cớp cứq ễ táq yỗn nheq tữh cũai cỡt ngcŏh ayín tháng. ¹⁴Cứq ễ táq yỗn cruang Ê-yip-tô coah angia pưn cỡt ntốq rangual, cớp chŏ́ng vil Sô-an coah angia pỡng. Cứq ễ yỗn vil toâr Thê-bêt roap tôt. ¹⁵Cứq ễ yỗn Pê-lusiam la vil toâr ca bữn ntốq parnoâng khâm tâng cruang Ê-yip-tô, bữn tamóh tễ ŏ́c cứq cutâu mứt. Cứq ễ talốh pupứt nheq máh mun tâng vil Thê-bêt. ¹⁶Cứq ễ chŏ́ng talốh cruang Ê-yip-tô, cớp táq yỗn cũai tâng vil Pê-lusiam sâng túh coat lứq. ²⁰Tangái tapul, casâi muoi, khoiq muoi chít la muoi cumo vớt noau cỗp dững tỗp hếq pỡ cruang Ba-bulôn, Yiang Sursĩ atỡng cứq neq: ²¹“Con cũai ơi! Cứq khoiq déh muoi coah ngcŏ́ng puo Ê-yip-tô yỗn tacoaih. Tỡ bữn noau tán tỡ la blong ngcŏ́ng ki yỗn têq cỡt bán, dŏq têq án yống loah dau. ²²Ngkíq, nâi la santoiq cứq Yiang Sursĩ Ncháu Nheq Tữh Cũai pai: Cứq toâp cỡt par‑ũal puo Ê-yip-tô. Cứq ễ déh tữm muoi coah ễn, chơ bar coah ngcŏ́ng án cỡt tacoaih nheq, dếh ngcŏ́ng noâng o cớp ngcŏ́ng khoiq tacoaih; chơ dau ễ satooh sâng tễ atĩ án. ²³Cứq ễ táq yỗn máh cũai Ê-yip-tô cỡt pláh chap dũ cruang tâng cốc cutễq nâi. ²⁴Chơ cứq ễ táq yỗn ngcŏ́ng puo Ba-bulôn cỡt rêng, cớp cứq ễ ĩt dau cứq, chơ yỗn án ễn yống. Ma cứq ễ táq yỗn ngcŏ́ng puo Ê-yip-tô cỡt tacoaih; chơ án chuchỗr cỗ sâng a‑ĩ lứq, cớp án cuchĩt choâng moat máh cũai par‑ũal. ²⁵Cứq ễ táq yỗn án cỡt ieuq, ma ễ yỗn puo Ba-bulôn ễn cỡt rêng. Toâq cứq chiau dau cứq yỗn án, chơ án ễ payo dau ki chu cruang Ê-yip-tô, chơ dũ náq cũai dáng samoât lứq cứq toâp la Yiang Sursĩ. ²⁶Cứq ễ yỗn tỗp Ê-yip-tô cỡt parsáng-parsaiq tâng dũ cruang. Chơ alới dáng samoât lứq cứq toâp la Yiang Sursĩ.”
