The Hope of the Faithful, and the Messiah’s Victory
A ⚓Michtam of David.
2O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord,
⚓My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
3As for the saints who are on the earth,
“They are the excellent ones, in ⚓whom is all my delight.”
4Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god;
Their drink offerings of ⚓blood I will not offer,
⚓Nor take up their names on my lips.
5O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
6The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.
7I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
8⚓I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
9Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.
10⚓For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
11You will show me the ⚓path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

1Xin chăm sóc con, Thượng Đế ôi!
Vì con nương tựa nơi Ngài thôi.
2Con thưa⚓ với Chúa Hằng Hữu:
"Ngài là Thượng Đế của con,
Ngoài Ngài con chẳng có phước nào."
3Tôi vui mừng vì các người thánh trong xứ,
Họ là mẫu người đạo đức tuyệt hảo.
4Còn những kẻ thờ phượng tà thần,
Chỉ thấy phiền muộn gia tăng.
Lễ quán bằng huyết, tôi quyết không dâng,
Tên chúng nó, môi tôi không đọc.
5Với tôi, Chúa là phần thưởng⚓ và cơ nghiệp,
Ngài bảo vệ vận mạng⚓ tôi.
6Phần đất tôi ở nơi tốt đẹp,
Phải, cơ nghiệp tôi thật tuyệt vời.
7Tôi ca ngợi Chúa, Đấng khuyên bảo tôi,
Đêm đêm, lòng tôi hằng nhắc nhở.
8Tôi luôn luôn tưởng nhớ Chúa,
Có Ngài bên cạnh, tôi không nao sờn.
9Vì thế lòng vui vẻ, hồn mừng rỡ,
Thân xác tôi nghỉ ngơi trong hy vọng.
10Vì Chúa không bỏ tôi trong âm phủ,
Không để Người Thánh Ngài nát rữa.
11Chúa dạy tôi con đường vĩnh sinh;
Chúa hiện diện là niềm vui tuyệt đỉnh,
Gần bên Chúa là thích thú muôn đời.
