The Sign of the Broken Flask
1Thus says the Lord: “Go and get a potter’s earthen flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests.
2And go out to ⚓the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the Potsherd Gate; and proclaim there the words that I will tell you,
3⚓and say, ‘Hear the word of the Lord, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, I will bring such a catastrophe on this place, that whoever hears of it, his ears will ⚓tingle.
4“Because they ⚓have forsaken Me and made this an alien place, because they have burned incense in it to other gods whom neither they, their fathers, nor the kings of Judah have known, and have filled this place with ⚓the blood of the innocents
5⚓(they have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, ⚓which I did not command or speak, nor did it come into My mind),
6therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “that this place shall no more be called Tophet or ⚓the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.
7And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, ⚓and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hands of those who seek their lives; their ⚓corpses I will give as meat for the birds of the heaven and for the beasts of the earth.
8I will make this city ⚓desolate and a hissing; everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss because of all its plagues.
9And I will cause them to eat the ⚓flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and everyone shall eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and in the desperation with which their enemies and those who seek their lives shall drive them to despair.” ’
10⚓“Then you shall break the flask in the sight of the men who go with you,
11and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: ⚓“Even so I will break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter’s vessel, which cannot be made whole again; and they shall ⚓bury them in Tophet till there is no place to bury.
12Thus I will do to this place,” says the Lord, “and to its inhabitants, and make this city like Tophet.
13And the houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah shall be defiled ⚓like the place of Tophet, because of all the houses on whose ⚓roofs they have burned incense to all the host of heaven, and ⚓poured out drink offerings to other gods.” ’ ”
14Then Jeremiah came from Tophet, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in ⚓the court of the Lord’s house and said to all the people,
15“Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Behold, I will bring on this city and on all her towns all the doom that I have pronounced against it, because ⚓they have stiffened their necks that they might not hear My words.’ ”

Yê-ramia Atỡng Tễ Adéh Pacháh
1Yiang Sursĩ atỡng cứq neq: “Cóq mới pỡq chỡng muoi bễng adéh cutễq, chơ dững máh cũai arieih cớp máh cũai tễng rit sang tễ vil Yaru-salem pỡq parnơi cớp mới.
2Cóq anhia loŏh na Ngoah Toong Adéh Cutễq Pacháh pỡq chu avúng Hi-nôm. Tâng ntốq ki, cóq mới pau atỡng máh santoiq cứq chiau yỗn mới.”
3Yiang Sursĩ ớn cứq pai neq: “Ơ máh puo cũai Yuda cớp máh cũai proai vil Yaru-salem ơi! Cóq anhia tamứng santoiq Yiang Sursĩ Sốt Toâr Lứq, la Ncháu tỗp I-sarel, pai neq: ‘Cứq ễ dững atoâq ŏ́c cuchĩt pứt pỡ ntốq nâi; dũ náq cũai ca sâng tễ ranáq ki sâng dớt lứq.
4Cứq ễ táq ngkíq, yuaq máh cũai proai khoiq calỡih táh cứq, cớp táq yỗn ntốq nâi cỡt nhơp nhuo luat ngư na alới bốh crơng sang yiang canŏ́h. Yiang ki, alới cớp achúc achiac alới, dếh máh puo Yuda tỡ nai dáng. Alới táq yỗn aham cũai tỡ bữn táq lôih tahóc poân ntốq nâi.
5Cớp alới khoiq táq prông sang dŏq sang yiang Ba-al tâng ntốq sarỡih, dŏq bốh máh con alới chiau sang yỗn yiang Ba-al. Cứq tỡ nai ớn tỗp alới táq ngkíq, cớp tỡ nai chanchớm loâng tễ ranáq ki.
6Ngkíq, lứq bữn muoi tangái ntốq nâi tỡ bữn noau dŏq noâng Tô-phet, tỡ la avúng Hi-nôm. Ma noau dŏq ntốq nâi la avúng Rapoâiq Carchĩt ễn.
7Cứq táq yỗn máh ngê tỗp Yuda cớp tỗp Yaru-salem khoiq aloŏh cỡt pứt nheq tâng ntốq nâi. Cớp cứq táq yỗn nheq tữh alới dớm nheq toâq pla dau choâng moat máh cũai par‑ũal alới, cớp yỗn alới ỡt tâng talang atĩ cũai ca ravoât ễ pupứt dỡi tamoong alới. Cứq yỗn máh sac alới cỡt sana chớm cớp cỡt sana máh charán cruang hỡ.
8Cứq ễ dững atoâq ŏ́c cuchĩt pứt pỡ vil nâi, chơ dũ náq cũai ca pỡq pha cỡt ngcŏh cớp sâng dớt lứq.
9Máh cũai par‑ũal alới crŏ́q lavíng cớp nhunhoar ễ mut cachĩt táh nheq cũai tâng vil. Ranáq crŏ́q lavíng trỗ nâi táq yỗn máh cũai tâng vil manoaq cha sâiq manoaq, cớp cha dếh con samiang con mansễm alới hỡ.’”
10Chơ Yiang Sursĩ ớn cứq pieih adéh cutễq choâng moat máh cũai ca toâq cớp cứq,
11cớp atỡng yỗn alới dáng la Yiang Sursĩ Sốt Toâr Lứq pai neq: “Cứq ễ táq chóq máh cũai nâi cớp máh vil nâi yỗn cỡt pacháh samoât adéh cutễq cũai chiang mial; tỡ têq atức loah noâng. Alới tứp cũai cuchĩt tâng Tô-phet toau ŏ́q noâng ntốq ễ tứp.
12Cứq pai samoât lứq, cứq ễ táq vil nâi cớp máh cũai vil nâi cỡt ariang ntốq Tô-phet tê.
13Máh dống tâng vil Yaru-salem, máh dống puo Yuda, cớp dũ dống cũai, ca chŏ́ng crơng phuom dŏq sang máh mantỗr, cớp tốh blŏ́ng nho sang yỗn máh yiang canŏ́h, nheq tữh dống ki cỡt ntốq nhơp nhuo machớng cớp prông sang Tô-phet tê.”
14Chơ Yê-ramia loŏh tễ ntốq Tô-phet, la ntốq Yiang Sursĩ ớn án pỡq atỡng. Chơ án pỡq tayứng tâng nchŏh Dống Sang Toâr, cớp atỡng máh cũai proai neq:
15“Yiang Sursĩ Sốt Toâr Lứq, la Ncháu tỗp I-sarel, pai neq: ‘Cóq anhia tamứng! Cứq ễ dững atoâq máh ranáq rúng pứt ca cứq khoiq pai dŏq, pỡ vil nâi cớp dũ vil cớt mpễr vil nâi hỡ, cỗ tian nheq tữh alới coang ngian cớp tỡ ễq trĩh santoiq cứq atỡng.’”
