1After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”2At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. 3And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. 4Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits⚓ of God. 6Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:
9Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: 11“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

Ta sẽ tỏ cho con biết những việc phải xảy ra sau các điều này.” Lập tức, tôi được Thánh Linh cảm hóa. 2Và kìa, có cái ngai đặt trên trời, trên ngai có một Đấng đang ngồi. 3Đấng ngồi trên ngai có dạng như ngọc thạch anh và ngọc mã não và có cầu vồng bọc quanh ngai giống như ngọc lục bảo. 4Quanh ngai, có hai mươi bốn ngai khác và hai mươi bốn trưởng lão đang ngồi trên các ngai, mặc áo tinh bạch, đầu đội mão bằng vàng. 5Từ nơi ngai phát ra chớp nhoáng, tiếng ầm ầm và tiếng sấm. Bảy ngọn đèn cháy rực thắp trước ngai, đó là bảy thần linh của Đức Chúa Trời. 6Trước ngai, có vật giống như biển bằng thủy tinh, trong như pha lê. Giữa ngai và quanh ngai có bốn sinh vật trước mặt và sau lưng đầy những mắt. 7Sinh vật thứ nhất giống như sư tử, sinh vật thứ hai như bò đực, sinh vật thứ ba có mặt như mặt người và sinh vật thứ tư như đại bàng đang bay. 8Bốn sinh vật ấy mỗi con đều có sáu cánh; quanh thân mình và bên trong đầy những mắt, ngày đêm tung hô không dứt:
9Mỗi khi bốn sinh vật tôn vinh, ca ngợi và cảm tạ Đấng ngự trên ngai là Đấng sống đời đời vô cùng, 10thì hai mươi bốn trưởng lão quỳ xuống trước Đấng ngự trên ngai và thờ lạy Đấng sống đời đời vô cùng. Họ đặt mão mình trước Ngai mà tung hô: 11“Lạy Chúa là Đức Chúa Trời của chúng con, Chúa xứng đáng nhận vinh quang, danh dự và quyền năng, Vì Chúa đã sáng tạo vạn vật, Do ý chỉ của Chúa mà vạn vật hiện hữu Và được sáng tạo.”
