Noah’s Deliverance
1Then God ⚓remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. ⚓And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.
2⚓The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also ⚓stopped, and ⚓the rain from heaven was restrained.
3And the waters receded continually from the earth. At the end ⚓of the hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
4Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.
5And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.
6So it came to pass, at the end of forty days, that Noah ⚓opened the window of the ark which he had made.
7Then he sent out a raven, which kept going to and fro until the waters had dried up from the earth.
8He also sent out from himself a dove, to see if the waters had receded from the face of the ground.
9But the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned into the ark to him, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. So he put out his hand and took her, and drew her into the ark to himself.
10And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent the dove out from the ark.
11Then the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth.
12So he waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove, which did not return again to him anymore.
13And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and indeed the surface of the ground was dry.
14And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dried.
15Then God spoke to Noah, saying,
16“Go out of the ark, ⚓you and your wife, and your sons and your sons’ wives with you.
17Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you: birds and cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, so that they may abound on the earth, and ⚓be fruitful and multiply on the earth.”
18So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him.
19Every animal, every creeping thing, every bird, and whatever creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark.
God’s Covenant with Creation
20Then Noah built an ⚓altar to the Lord, and took of ⚓every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered ⚓burnt offerings on the altar.
21And the Lord smelled ⚓a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again ⚓curse the ground for man’s sake, although the ⚓imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; ⚓nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.
22“While the earth ⚓remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And ⚓day and night
Shall not cease.”

Nước Lụt Hạ Xuống
1 Ðức Chúa Trời nhớ đến Nô-ê, cùng mọi thú rừng, và mọi gia súc đang ở trong tàu với ông. Ðức Chúa Trời khiến một trận gió thổi qua mặt đất, nước bèn hạ xuống.
2 Các nguồn vực thẳm và các cửa sổ trên trời đóng lại; mưa từ trời tạnh hẳn.
3 Nước từ từ rút khỏi mặt đất. Sau một trăm năm mươi ngày, nước hạ xuống.
4 Vào ngày mười bảy, tháng Bảy, chiếc tàu hạ xuống trên Núi A-ra-rát.
5 Nước cứ tiếp tục hạ xuống cho đến tháng Mười. Ðến ngày mồng một tháng Mười, các đỉnh núi mới bắt đầu lộ ra.
6 Sau bốn mươi ngày, Nô-ê mở cánh cửa sổ của chiếc tàu ông đã đóng,
7 và thả một con quạ bay ra. Nó lượn tới lượn lui cho đến khi nước rút khỏi mặt đất.
8 Ðoạn ông thả một con bồ cầu bay ra, để xem nước đã rút hẳn khỏi mặt đất chưa.
9 Nhưng con bồ câu không tìm được một nơi nào để đậu, nên nó bay về lại chiếc tàu với ông, vì nước vẫn còn lai láng trên khắp mặt đất. Ông giơ tay ra, đón nó, và đem nó vào lại trong tàu với ông.
10 Ông đợi thêm bảy ngày, rồi thả con bồ câu ra khỏi tàu một lần nữa.
11 Ðến chiều tối, con bồ câu bay về, và kìa, trong mỏ nó có một lá ô-liu non. Thế là Nô-ê biết nước đã rút khỏi mặt đất.
12 Ông đợi thêm bảy ngày nữa rồi thả con bồ cầu ra, lần nầy con bồ câu không trở về với ông nữa.
13 Vào ngày mồng một, tháng Giêng, năm sáu trăm lẻ một của đời Nô-ê, nước đã rút khỏi mặt đất. Nô-ê dỡ mui tàu và nhìn; ông thấy mặt đất đang khô ráo.
14 Ðến ngày hai mươi bảy, tháng Hai, mặt đất đã khô hẳn.
15 Ðức Chúa Trời phán với Nô-ê,
16 “Ngươi hãy ra khỏi tàu – ngươi, vợ ngươi, các con trai ngươi, và vợ của các con trai ngươi.
17 Hãy đem ra với ngươi mọi sinh vật của mọi loài xác thịt đã ở với ngươi, nào chim chóc, thú vật, và mọi loài bò sát mặt đất, để chúng gia tăng đông đúc trên đất. Chúng phải sinh sôi nảy nở thêm nhiều trên đất.”
18 Vậy Nô-ê cùng các con trai ông, vợ ông, và vợ của các con trai ông ra khỏi tàu.
19 Rồi mọi thú vật, mọi sinh vật bò sát, mọi chim trời, mọi loài di động trên đất đều ra khỏi tàu, theo từng gia đình một.
Ðức Chúa Trời Hứa với Nô-ê
20 Bấy giờ Nô-ê lập một bàn thờ để thờ CHÚA, rồi ông bắt một con trong các thú vật thanh sạch và một con trong các thứ chim thanh sạch làm của lễ thiêu dâng trên bàn thờ.
21 Khi CHÚA ngửi lấy mùi thơm, CHÚA tự nhủ, “Ta sẽ không bao giờ nguyền rủa đất vì cớ loài người nữa, vì lòng dạ của loài người đã có khuynh hướng xấu từ khi còn trẻ. Ta cũng sẽ không tiêu diệt mọi sinh vật như Ta đã làm nữa.
22 Hễ ngày nào trái đất còn,
Mùa gieo và mùa gặt,
Trời lạnh và trời nóng,
Mùa hạ và mùa đông,
Ngày và đêm,
Sẽ không ngừng tiếp diễn.”
