The Folly of Not Trusting God
1Woe to those ⚓who go down to Egypt for help,
And⚓rely on horses,
Who trust in chariots because they are many,
And in horsemen because they are very strong,
But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
⚓Nor seek the Lord!
2Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster,
And ⚓will not call back His words,
But will arise against the house of evildoers,
And against the help of those who work iniquity.
3Now the Egyptians are men, and not God;
And their horses are flesh, and not spirit.
When the Lord stretches out His hand,
Both he who helps will fall,
And he who is helped will fall down;
They all will perish ⚓together.
God Will Deliver Jerusalem
4For thus the Lord has spoken to me:
⚓“As a lion roars,
And a young lion over his prey
(When a multitude of shepherds is summoned against him,
He will not be afraid of their voice
Nor be disturbed by their noise),
So the Lord of hosts will come down
To fight for Mount Zion and for its hill.
5⚓Like birds flying about,
So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.
Defending, He will also deliver it;
Passing over, He will preserve it.”
6Return to Him against whom the children of Israel have ⚓deeply revolted.
7For in that day every man shall ⚓throw away his idols of silver and his idols of gold—⚓sin, which your own hands have made for yourselves.
8“Then Assyria shall ⚓fall by a sword not of man,
And a sword not of mankind shall ⚓devour him.
But he shall flee from the sword,
And his young men shall become forced labor.
9⚓He shall cross over to his stronghold for fear,
And his princes shall be afraid of the banner,”
Says the Lord,
Whose fire is in Zion
And whose furnace is in Jerusalem.

3Phung Êjipt jêng bunuyh, mâu tăp Brah Ndu ôh; seh khân păng jêng nglay puăch, mâu tăp huêng brah ôh. Tơ lah Yêhôva mra yơr ti păng, nơm kơl mra chêh, nđâp nơm bu kơl mra prah, jêh ri lĕ rngôch khân păng mra rai yot ndrel n'grŭp.
4Yor lah pô aơ Yêhôva lah jêh ma gâp: "Tâm ban ma yau mŭr mâu lah kon yau mŭr ngrông dăch mpa păng kăp jêh, jêh ri nđâp tơ lah bu kuăl phung rmăk biăp ƀư ma păng, păng mâu klach ôh ma bâr khân păng, mâu lĕ phit yor nteh khân păng, tâm ban pô nây lĕ Yêhôva ma phung tahan mra jŭr văch tâm lơh ta yôk Siôn jêh ri ta yôk păng.
5Tâm ban ma sĭm mpăr du ntŭk ta kalơ kon khân păng, tâm ban pô nây lĕ Yêhôva ma phung tahan mra n'gang ƀon Yêrusalem. Păng mra n'gang jêh ri tâm rklaih păng, păng yô̆ jêh ri koh dŏng păng."
6Ơ phung ƀon lan Isarael, plơ̆ sĭt hom ma nơm khân may tâm rdâng jêh.
7Yor lah tâm nar nây ăp nơm mra mƀăr lơi rup brah prăk jêh ri mah, rup brah ti khân may nơm ƀư jêh, lĕ nau tih khân may.
8"Nơm Asiri mra prah yor ma đao, mâu tăp đao bunuyh ôh; jêh ri đao mâu tăp đao bunuyh ôh mra nkhĭt păng. Păng mra du bơh đao nây, jêh ri phung bu klâu ndăm păng mra jêng dĭk.
9Lŭ păng rnơm mra roh yor nau klach jêh ri phung kôranh tahan păng mra uh ah nchuăt du bơh bok pla păng." Pô ri Yêhôva lah, nơm jêng tâm ban ma ŭnh tâm yôk Siôn, jêh ri ŭnh năk tâm ƀon Yêrusalem.
