The Blessing of Returning to God
1“Now ⚓it shall come to pass, when ⚓all these things come upon you, the blessing and the ⚓curse which I have set before you, and ⚓you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God drives you,
2and you ⚓return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,
3⚓that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and ⚓gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.
4⚓If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you.
5Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.
6And ⚓the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
7“Also the Lord your God will put all these ⚓curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.
8And you will ⚓again obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today.
9⚓The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again ⚓rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers,
10if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
The Choice of Life or Death
11“For this commandment which I command you today ⚓is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off.
12⚓It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
13Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
14But the word is very near you, ⚓in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.
15“See, ⚓I have set before you today life and good, death and evil,
16in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
17But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them,
18⚓I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.
19⚓I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that⚓I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
20that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your ⚓life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

回轉和蒙福
1「當這一切的事，就是我擺在你面前的祝福和詛咒臨到你的時候，你在耶和華－你上帝趕逐你去的萬國中，心裏回想這些事，
2你和你的子孫若盡心盡性歸向耶和華－你的上帝，照我今日一切所吩咐你的，聽從他的話，
3耶和華－你的上帝就必憐憫你，使你這被擄的子民歸回。耶和華－你的上帝必轉回，從分散你到的萬民中把你召集回來。
4你就是被趕逐到天涯，耶和華－你的上帝也必從那裏召集你，從那裏領你回來。
5耶和華－你的上帝必領你進入你列祖所得的地，你必得着這地為業。他必善待你，使你增多，勝過你的列祖。
6耶和華－你的上帝要使你的心和你後裔的心受割禮，好叫你盡心盡性愛耶和華－你的上帝，使你可以存活。
7耶和華－你的上帝必將這一切詛咒加在你仇敵和恨惡你、迫害你的人身上。
8你必回轉，聽從耶和華的話，遵行他的一切誡命，就是我今日所吩咐你的。
9耶和華－你的上帝必使你手裏所做的一切，以及你身所生的，牲畜所生的，土地所產的都豐富有餘，而且順利；耶和華必再喜愛善待你，正如他喜愛你的列祖一樣，
10只要你聽從耶和華－你上帝的話，謹守這律法書上所寫的誡命律例，盡心盡性歸向耶和華－你的上帝。」
生命之道
11「我今日所吩咐你的誡命，對你並不困難，也不太遠；
12不是在天上，使你說：『誰為我們上天去取來給我們，使我們聽了可以遵行呢？』
13也不是在海的那邊，使你說：『誰為我們渡海到另一邊，去取來給我們，使我們聽了可以遵行呢？』
14因這話離你很近，就在你口中，在你心裏，使你可以遵行。
15「看，我今日將生死禍福擺在你面前。
16我今日所吩咐你的⚓，就是要愛耶和華－你的上帝，遵行他的道，謹守他的誡命、律例、典章，使你可以存活，增多，而且耶和華－你的上帝必在你所要進去得為業的地上賜福給你。
17倘若你的心偏離，不肯聽從，卻被引誘去敬拜別神，事奉它們，
18我今日向你們申明，你們必定滅亡；在你過約旦河進去得為業的地上，你的日子必不長久。
19我今日呼天喚地向你作見證：我已經將生與死，祝福與詛咒，擺在你面前。所以你要揀選生命，好使你和你的後裔都得存活。
20要愛耶和華－你的上帝，聽從他的話，緊緊跟隨他，因為他是你的生命，必使你的日子得以長久，可以在耶和華向你列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓要給他們的地上居住。」
