The Blessing of Returning to God
1“Now ⚓it shall come to pass, when ⚓all these things come upon you, the blessing and the ⚓curse which I have set before you, and ⚓you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God drives you,
2and you ⚓return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,
3⚓that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and ⚓gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.
4⚓If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you.
5Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.
6And ⚓the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
7“Also the Lord your God will put all these ⚓curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.
8And you will ⚓again obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today.
9⚓The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again ⚓rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers,
10if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
The Choice of Life or Death
11“For this commandment which I command you today ⚓is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off.
12⚓It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
13Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
14But the word is very near you, ⚓in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.
15“See, ⚓I have set before you today life and good, death and evil,
16in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
17But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them,
18⚓I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.
19⚓I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that⚓I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
20that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your ⚓life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

回转和蒙福
1“当这一切的事，就是我摆在你面前的祝福和诅咒临到你的时候，你在耶和华－你上帝赶逐你去的万国中，心里回想这些事，
2你和你的子孙若尽心尽性归向耶和华－你的上帝，照我今日一切所吩咐你的，听从他的话，
3耶和华－你的上帝就必怜悯你，使你这被掳的子民归回。耶和华－你的上帝必转回，从分散你到的万民中把你召集回来。
4你就是被赶逐到天涯，耶和华－你的上帝也必从那里召集你，从那里领你回来。
5耶和华－你的上帝必领你进入你列祖所得的地，你必得着这地为业。他必善待你，使你增多，胜过你的列祖。
6耶和华－你的上帝要使你的心和你后裔的心受割礼，好叫你尽心尽性爱耶和华－你的上帝，使你可以存活。
7耶和华－你的上帝必将这一切诅咒加在你仇敌和恨恶你、迫害你的人身上。
8你必回转，听从耶和华的话，遵行他的一切诫命，就是我今日所吩咐你的。
9耶和华－你的上帝必使你手里所做的一切，以及你身所生的，牲畜所生的，土地所产的都丰富有余，而且顺利；耶和华必再喜爱善待你，正如他喜爱你的列祖一样，
10只要你听从耶和华－你上帝的话，谨守这律法书上所写的诫命律例，尽心尽性归向耶和华－你的上帝。”
生命之道
11“我今日所吩咐你的诫命，对你并不困难，也不太远；
12不是在天上，使你说：‘谁为我们上天去取来给我们，使我们听了可以遵行呢？’
13也不是在海的那边，使你说：‘谁为我们渡海到另一边，去取来给我们，使我们听了可以遵行呢？’
14因这话离你很近，就在你口中，在你心里，使你可以遵行。
15“看，我今日将生死祸福摆在你面前。
16我今日所吩咐你的⚓，就是要爱耶和华－你的上帝，遵行他的道，谨守他的诫命、律例、典章，使你可以存活，增多，而且耶和华－你的上帝必在你所要进去得为业的地上赐福给你。
17倘若你的心偏离，不肯听从，却被引诱去敬拜别神，事奉它们，
18我今日向你们申明，你们必定灭亡；在你过约旦河进去得为业的地上，你的日子必不长久。
19我今日呼天唤地向你作见证：我已经将生与死，祝福与诅咒，摆在你面前。所以你要拣选生命，好使你和你的后裔都得存活。
20要爱耶和华－你的上帝，听从他的话，紧紧跟随他，因为他是你的生命，必使你的日子得以长久，可以在耶和华向你列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓要给他们的地上居住。”
