Lễ khánh thành đền thờ. – Lời cầu nguyện của Sa-lô-môn
(II Sử 5:2 – 6:2)
5Vua Sa-lô-môn và toàn thể hội chúng Y-sơ-ra-ên đã tập hợp bên vua, đứng trước Hòm Giao Ước cùng dâng sinh tế chiên và bò rất nhiều, đến nỗi không thể đếm được.
6Các thầy tế lễ đem Hòm Giao Ước của Đức Giê-hô-va đặt vào vị trí bên trong cùng của đền thờ, tức là Nơi Chí Thánh, dưới cánh chê-ru-bim.
7Vì các chê-ru-bim giương cánh ra trên nơi đặt Hòm Giao Ước nên che phủ Hòm Giao Ước và các đòn khiêng.
8Các đòn khiêng dài đến nỗi từ Nơi Thánh ở ngay trước Nơi Chí Thánh, người ta có thể trông thấy đầu các đòn khiêng, nhưng ở ngoài thì không thấy được. Các đòn khiêng ấy vẫn còn ở đó cho đến ngày nay.
9Trong Hòm Giao Ước không có gì khác ngoài hai bảng đá mà Môi-se đã đặt vào tại Hô-rếp,⚓ nơi Đức Giê-hô-va đã lập giao ước với dân Y-sơ-ra-ên khi họ ra khỏi Ai Cập.
10Khi các thầy tế lễ vừa ra khỏi Nơi Thánh thì có đám mây tràn đầy đền thờ của Đức Giê-hô-va,⚓
11đến nỗi do đám mây ấy mà các thầy tế lễ không thể tiếp tục hành lễ được, vì vinh quang của Đức Giê-hô-va tràn ngập đền thờ của Ngài.
12Bấy giờ, Sa-lô-môn cầu nguyện:⚓
“Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán rằng
Ngài ngự trong đám mây dày đặc.
13Nhưng con đã xây cho Ngài một đền thờ nguy nga,
Một nơi để Ngài ngự đời đời.”
Diễn từ của vua Sa-lô-môn
14Rồi vua quay mặt lại chúc phước cho toàn thể hội chúng Y-sơ-ra-ên trong khi mọi người đang đứng.
15Vua nói: “Ca ngợi Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, Đấng đã phán hứa với Đa-vít, cha trẫm, và dùng chính tay Ngài làm ứng nghiệm lời ấy. Ngài phán rằng:
16‘Từ ngày Ta đã đem dân Ta là Y-sơ-ra-ên ra khỏi Ai Cập, Ta không chọn một thành nào trong các bộ tộc Y-sơ-ra-ên để xây cất một đền thờ cho danh Ta ngự tại đó. Nhưng Ta đã chọn Đa-vít để người trị vì dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ta.’⚓
17Lúc ấy, Đa-vít, cha trẫm, có ý định xây cất một đền thờ cho danh Giê-hô-va, là Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên.⚓
18Nhưng Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán với Đa-vít, cha trẫm, rằng: ‘Con có ý định xây cất một đền thờ cho danh Ta là điều tốt.
19Tuy nhiên, con sẽ không xây cất đền thờ ấy đâu, nhưng con của con, do con sinh ra, sẽ xây cất đền thờ cho danh Ta.’⚓
20Bây giờ, Đức Giê-hô-va đã làm ứng nghiệm lời Ngài phán hứa, vì trẫm đã kế vị Đa-vít, cha trẫm, và ngồi trên ngai Y-sơ-ra-ên đúng như Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán. Trẫm đã xây cất đền thờ nầy cho danh Giê-hô-va, là Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên.
21Tại đó, trẫm đã chuẩn bị một chỗ để đặt Hòm Giao Ước, trong đó có giao ước của Đức Giê-hô-va, là giao ước mà Ngài đã lập với tổ phụ chúng ta khi đem họ ra khỏi đất Ai Cập.”
Lời cầu nguyện cung hiến của Sa-lô-môn
22Kế đó, Sa-lô-môn đứng trước bàn thờ Đức Giê-hô-va, trước mặt toàn thể hội chúng Y-sơ-ra-ên, giơ hai tay lên trời và cầu nguyện rằng:
23“Lạy Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên! Không có thần nào trên trời cao kia hoặc dưới đất thấp nầy giống như Ngài. Chúa giữ giao ước và lòng nhân từ với các đầy tớ Ngài, là những người hết lòng bước đi trước mặt Ngài.
24Chúa đã giữ lời Ngài phán hứa với đầy tớ Ngài là Đa-vít, cha của con. Điều chính miệng Chúa phán hứa thì tay Chúa đã thực hiện như đã có ngày nay.
25Vậy bây giờ, lạy Giê-hô-va là Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên! Xin giữ lời Chúa đã phán hứa với đầy tớ Ngài là Đa-vít, cha của con, rằng: ‘Nếu con cháu của con cẩn thận trong đường lối mình, bước đi trước mặt Ta như con đã bước đi, thì trước mặt Ta, con sẽ không hề thiếu người ngồi trên ngai Y-sơ-ra-ên đâu.’⚓
26Lạy Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên! Xin Chúa làm cho ứng nghiệm lời Ngài đã phán hứa với đầy tớ Ngài là Đa-vít, cha của con.
27Nhưng thật ra Đức Chúa Trời có ngự trên đất nầy chăng? Kìa, các tầng trời, ngay cả trời của các tầng trời cũng không thể chứa Ngài được, huống chi đền thờ nầy mà con đã xây cất!⚓
28Dù vậy, lạy Giê-hô-va là Đức Chúa Trời của con! Xin đoái đến lời cầu nguyện và nài xin của đầy tớ Ngài, xin đoái nghe tiếng kêu cầu và khẩn nguyện mà hôm nay đầy tớ Ngài đang dâng lên trước mặt Ngài.
29Nguyện mắt của Chúa ngày và đêm đoái xem nhà nầy, là nơi Chúa đã phán rằng: ‘Danh Ta sẽ ngự tại đó,’ ⚓ để nghe lời khẩn nguyện của đầy tớ Ngài hướng về nơi nầy mà kêu cầu.
30Xin Chúa lắng nghe lời khẩn cầu mà đầy tớ Chúa và dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài hướng về nơi nầy cầu nguyện. Từ nơi ngự của Chúa trên các tầng trời, xin Chúa đoái nghe và tha thứ cho.
31Nếu có ai phạm tội với người lân cận mình và bị buộc phải thề, nên người ấy đến thề trước bàn thờ của Chúa trong đền thờ nầy,
32thì xin Chúa trên trời lắng nghe, hành động và phân xử cho các đầy tớ Ngài, kết án kẻ có tội, khiến nó phải chịu lấy hậu quả của tội lỗi mình, và xưng công chính cho người công chính bằng cách ban thưởng theo sự công chính của người ấy.
33Khi Y-sơ-ra-ên, con dân của Ngài, bị kẻ thù đánh bại vì phạm tội với Ngài, nếu họ trở lại với Ngài, xưng nhận danh Ngài và cầu nguyện nài xin với Ngài trong đền thờ nầy,
34thì xin Chúa trên trời lắng nghe, tha tội cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài và khiến họ trở về đất mà Chúa đã ban cho tổ phụ họ.
35Khi các tầng trời bị đóng chặt, không có mưa vì họ đã phạm tội với Chúa, nếu họ hướng về nơi nầy mà cầu nguyện, xưng nhận danh Chúa, lìa bỏ tội lỗi mình vì Chúa đã sửa phạt họ,
36thì xin Chúa trên trời lắng nghe, tha tội cho các đầy tớ Chúa và cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài. Xin Chúa chỉ cho họ con đường chính đáng mà họ phải đi, và cho mưa rơi trên đất mà Chúa đã ban cho dân Ngài làm sản nghiệp.
37Khi trong xứ có đói kém, dịch bệnh, hoặc hạn hán, nấm mốc, cào cào, châu chấu, hoặc có quân thù vây hãm các cổng thành của xứ, hoặc có bất cứ tai họa, bệnh tật gì;
38nếu có một người hoặc toàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Chúa hết lòng nhận biết nỗi đau đớn của mình, và giơ tay ra hướng về đền thờ nầy mà cầu nguyện, khẩn xin bất luận điều gì,
39thì xin Chúa ở trên trời, là nơi Chúa ngự, lắng nghe, tha thứ, hành động và báo trả cho mỗi người tùy theo đường lối của họ, và theo những gì Chúa biết trong lòng họ, vì chỉ một mình Chúa biết rõ lòng người;
40để khiến họ kính sợ Chúa trọn đời, khi họ sống trên đất mà Chúa đã ban cho tổ phụ họ.
41Ngoài ra, đối với người ngoại quốc là người chẳng thuộc về dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Chúa, nhưng vì nghe danh Ngài nên từ xứ xa đến
42(vì họ đã nghe về uy danh của Chúa, về tay quyền năng và cánh tay giơ thẳng ra của Ngài). Khi họ đến cầu nguyện trong đền thờ nầy,
43thì xin Chúa ở trên trời, là nơi Chúa ngự, lắng nghe và làm cho họ mọi điều họ cầu xin Ngài, để muôn dân trên đất nhận biết danh Chúa và kính sợ Ngài giống như dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài, và để người ta biết rằng danh Chúa được kêu cầu nơi đền thờ mà con đã xây cất.
44Khi dân của Chúa ra trận chiến đấu với quân thù ở bất cứ nơi nào Chúa sai họ đi, nếu họ cầu khẩn Đức Giê-hô-va hướng về thành Chúa đã chọn và về đền thờ mà con đã xây cất cho danh Ngài,
45thì xin Chúa trên trời lắng nghe các lời cầu nguyện và nài xin của họ mà thực thi công lý cho họ.
46Khi họ phạm tội với Chúa — vì chẳng có người nào không phạm tội — khiến Chúa nổi giận với họ và phó họ cho kẻ thù để họ bị lưu đày trong xứ của kẻ thù, hoặc xa hay gần.
47Nếu trong đất lưu đày, họ hồi tâm, ăn năn và nài xin với Chúa rằng: ‘Chúng con đã phạm tội, hành động một cách bướng bỉnh và gian ác;’
48nếu trong xứ của kẻ thù, nơi họ bị lưu đày, họ hết lòng hết ý trở lại cùng Chúa, cầu nguyện với Ngài, hướng về xứ mà Chúa đã ban cho tổ phụ họ, về thành mà Chúa đã chọn và về đền thờ mà con đã xây cất cho danh Chúa,
49thì xin Chúa ở trên trời, là nơi Chúa ngự, lắng nghe lời cầu nguyện nài xin của họ và thực thi công lý cho họ.
50Xin Chúa tha thứ cho dân Ngài là dân đã phạm tội với Ngài, và tha thứ tất cả sự vi phạm mà họ đã phạm với Ngài; xin Chúa khiến những kẻ bắt họ lưu đày có lòng thương xót họ,
51vì họ là dân Ngài, là cơ nghiệp mà Ngài đã đem ra khỏi Ai Cập, tức là khỏi lò luyện sắt.
52Nguyện mắt Chúa đoái xem đầy tớ Ngài và dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài, lắng tai nghe lời cầu nguyện và nài xin của họ mỗi khi họ kêu cầu với Ngài.
53Lạy Chúa là Đức Giê-hô-va! Chúa đã biệt riêng Y-sơ-ra-ên ra khỏi mọi dân tộc trên mặt đất để họ làm cơ nghiệp Ngài, như Ngài đã tuyên phán qua Môi-se là đầy tớ Ngài, khi Ngài đem tổ phụ chúng con ra khỏi Ai Cập.”
Sa-lô-môn chúc phước cho hội chúng
54Khi Sa-lô-môn đã dâng lên Đức Giê-hô-va những lời khẩn nguyện và nài xin nầy xong thì vua đứng dậy trước bàn thờ Đức Giê-hô-va, nơi vua đã quỳ và giơ hai tay lên trời.
55Vua đứng và lớn tiếng chúc phước cho toàn thể hội chúng Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng:
56“Ca ngợi Đức Giê-hô-va, Đấng đã ban cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài được an nghỉ như mọi lời Ngài đã phán! Trong tất cả các lời hứa tốt lành mà Ngài đã phán qua Môi-se, đầy tớ Ngài, thì chẳng có lời nào không ứng nghiệm.⚓
57Cầu xin Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta ở với chúng ta như Ngài đã ở với tổ phụ chúng ta; xin Ngài đừng lìa, đừng bỏ chúng ta.
58Cầu xin Ngài giục lòng chúng ta hướng về Ngài, để chúng ta đi trong tất cả đường lối Ngài, tuân giữ những điều răn, luật pháp và mệnh lệnh của Ngài đã truyền cho tổ phụ chúng ta.
59Nguyện các lời trẫm đã nài xin trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ ở bên cạnh Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta ngày và đêm, để bảo vệ quyền lợi của đầy tớ Ngài và của dân Y-sơ-ra-ên Ngài, tùy theo nhu cầu mỗi ngày,
60để muôn dân trên đất biết rằng chính Giê-hô-va là Đức Chúa Trời chứ chẳng có ai khác.
61Vậy, các ngươi hãy hết lòng trung thành với Giê-hô-va là Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta, bước đi trong luật pháp, và tuân giữ điều răn của Ngài như các ngươi đã làm ngày nay.”
Sa-lô-môn dâng sinh tế
62Sau đó, vua và toàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ở bên vua dâng các sinh tế trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va.
63Sa-lô-môn dâng sinh tế lên Đức Giê-hô-va gồm hai mươi hai nghìn con bò đực và một trăm hai mươi nghìn con chiên làm tế lễ bình an. Như vậy, vua và toàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên cung hiến đền thờ lên Đức Giê-hô-va.
64Trong ngày đó, vua biệt riêng ra thánh phần giữa của hành lang ở trước đền thờ của Đức Giê-hô-va, làm nơi dâng các tế lễ thiêu, tế lễ chay, và mỡ của tế lễ bình an, vì bàn thờ bằng đồng để trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va quá nhỏ, không thể chứa các tế lễ thiêu, tế lễ chay, và mỡ của tế lễ bình an.
65Trong lúc đó, Sa-lô-môn và toàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ở bên vua cùng dự lễ trước mặt Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta trong bảy ngày, rồi kéo dài thêm bảy ngày nữa, cộng tất cả là mười bốn ngày. Thật là một hội chúng đông đảo, từ cửa ải Ha-mát cho đến suối Ai Cập.
66Vào ngày thứ tám,⚓ vua cho dân chúng ra về. Họ chúc phước cho vua rồi trở về trại mình, lòng vui mừng phấn khởi về mọi điều tốt lành mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã làm cho Đa-vít, đầy tớ Ngài, và cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài.

The Ark Brought into the Temple
1Now ⚓Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, ⚓that they might bring ⚓up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the City of David, which is Zion.
2Therefore all the men of Israel assembled with King Solomon at the ⚓feast in the month of Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
3So all the elders of Israel came, ⚓and the priests took up the ark.
4Then they brought up the ark of the Lord, ⚓the tabernacle of meeting, and all the holy furnishings that were in the tabernacle. The priests and the Levites brought them up.
5Also King Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him, were with him before the ark, ⚓sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted or numbered for multitude.
6Then the priests ⚓brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to ⚓its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy Place,⚓under the wings of the cherubim.
7For the cherubim spread their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles.
8The poles ⚓extended so that the ends of the poles could be seen from the holy place, in front of the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day.
9⚓Nothing was in the ark ⚓except the two tablets of stone which Moses ⚓put there at Horeb, ⚓when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
10And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud ⚓filled the house of the Lord,
11so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the ⚓glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.
12⚓Then Solomon spoke:
“The Lord said He would dwell ⚓in the dark cloud.
13⚓I have surely built You an exalted house,
⚓And a place for You to dwell in forever.”
Solomon’s Speech at Completion of the Work
14Then the king turned around and ⚓blessed the whole assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing.
15And he said: ⚓“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who ⚓spoke with His mouth to my father David, and with His hand has fulfilled it, saying,
16‘Since the day that I brought My people Israel out of Egypt, I have chosen no city from any tribe of Israel in which to build a house, that ⚓My name might be there; but I chose ⚓David to be over My people Israel.’
17Now ⚓it was in the heart of my father David to build a temple for the name of the Lord God of Israel.
18⚓But the Lord said to my father David, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.
19Nevertheless ⚓you shall not build the temple, but your son who will come from your body, he shall build the temple for My name.’
20So the Lord has fulfilled His word which He spoke; and I have filled the position of my father David, and sit on the throne of Israel, ⚓as the Lord promised; and I have built a temple for the name of the Lord God of Israel.
21And there I have made a place for the ark, in which is⚓the covenant of the Lord which He made with our fathers, when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.”
Solomon’s Prayer of Dedication
22Then Solomon stood before ⚓the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and ⚓spread out his hands toward heaven;
23and he said: “Lord God of Israel, ⚓there is no God in heaven above or on earth below like You, ⚓who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who ⚓walk before You with all their hearts.
24You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day.
25Therefore, Lord God of Israel, now keep what You promised Your servant David my father, saying, ⚓‘You shall not fail to have a man sit before Me on the throne of Israel, only if your sons take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as you have walked before Me.’
26⚓And now I pray, O God of Israel, let Your word come true, which You have spoken to Your servant David my father.
27“But ⚓will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the ⚓heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!
28Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today:
29that Your eyes may be open toward this temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, ⚓‘My name shall be ⚓there,’ that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes ⚓toward this place.
30⚓And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.
31“When anyone sins against his neighbor, and is forced to take ⚓an oath, and comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this temple,
32then hear in heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, ⚓condemning the wicked, bringing his way on his head, and justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness.
33⚓“When Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against You, and ⚓when they turn back to You and confess Your name, and pray and make supplication to You in this temple,
34then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave to their ⚓fathers.
35⚓“When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, when they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them,
36then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may ⚓teach them ⚓the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.
37⚓“When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is;
38whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple:
39then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone ⚓know the hearts of all the sons of men),
40⚓that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You gave to our fathers.
41“Moreover, concerning a foreigner, who is not of Your people Israel, but has come from a far country for Your name’s sake
42(for they will hear of Your great name and Your ⚓strong hand and Your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this temple,
43hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, ⚓that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and ⚓fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this temple which I have built is called by Your name.
44“When Your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever You send them, and when they pray to the Lord toward the city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name,
45then hear in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
46“When they sin against You ⚓(for there is no one who does not sin), and You become angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, and they take them captive ⚓to the land of the enemy, far or near;
47⚓yet when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to You in the land of those who took them captive, ⚓saying, ‘We have sinned and done wrong, we have committed wickedness’;
48and when they ⚓return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and ⚓pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name:
49then hear in heaven Your dwelling place their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause,
50and forgive Your people who have sinned against You, and all their transgressions which they have transgressed against You; and ⚓grant them compassion before those who took them captive, that they may have compassion on them
51(for ⚓they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of Egypt, ⚓out of the iron furnace),
52⚓that Your eyes may be open to the supplication of Your servant and the supplication of Your people Israel, to listen to them whenever they call to You.
53For You separated them from among all the peoples of the earth to be Your inheritance, ⚓as You spoke by Your servant Moses, when You brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord God.”
Solomon Blesses the Assembly
54⚓And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the Lord, that he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
55Then he stood ⚓and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying:
56“Blessed be the Lord, who has given ⚓rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. ⚓There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.
57May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. ⚓May He not leave us nor forsake us,
58that He may ⚓incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers.
59And may these words of mine, with which I have made supplication before the Lord, be near the Lord our God day and night, that He may maintain the cause of His servant and the cause of His people Israel, as each day may require,
60⚓that all the peoples of the earth may know that ⚓the Lordis God; there is no other.
61Let your ⚓heart therefore be loyal to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.”
Solomon Dedicates the Temple
62Then ⚓the king and all Israel with him offered sacrifices before the Lord.
63And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to the Lord, twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord.
64On ⚓the same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the Lord; for there he offered burnt offerings, grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the ⚓bronze altar that was before the Lordwas too small to receive the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
65At that time Solomon held ⚓a feast, and all Israel with him, a great assembly from ⚓the entrance of Hamath to ⚓the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, ⚓seven days and seven more days—fourteen days.
66⚓On the eighth day he sent the people away; and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the good that the Lord had done for His servant David, and for Israel His people.
