An Appeal for Israel’s Repentance
To the Chief Musician. ⚓On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm of Asaph.
Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob.
2Raise a song and strike the timbrel,
The pleasant harp with the lute.
3Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon,
At the full moon, on our solemn feast day.
4For ⚓this is a statute for Israel,
A law of the God of Jacob.
5This He established in Joseph as a testimony,
When He went throughout the land of Egypt,
⚓Where I heard a language I did not understand.
6“I removed his shoulder from the burden;
His hands were freed from the baskets.
7⚓You called in trouble, and I delivered you;
⚓I answered you in the secret place of thunder;
I ⚓tested you at the waters of Meribah.
Selah
8“Hear,⚓ O My people, and I will admonish you!
O Israel, if you will listen to Me!
9There shall be no ⚓foreign god among you;
Nor shall you worship any foreign god.
10⚓I am the Lord your God,
Who brought you out of the land of Egypt;
⚓Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11“But My people would not heed My voice,
And Israel would have⚓none of Me.
12⚓So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart,
To walk in their own counsels.
13“Oh,⚓ that My people would listen to Me,
That Israel would walk in My ways!
14I would soon subdue their enemies,
And turn My hand against their adversaries.
15⚓The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him,
But their fate would endure forever.
16He would ⚓have fed them also with the finest of wheat;
And with honey ⚓from the rock I would have satisfied you.”

Lời Kêu Gọi Vâng Phục Chúa
1Hãy lớn tiếng ca ngợi Đức Chúa Trời, là sức lực chúng ta;
Hãy reo hò vui vẻ cho Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.
2Hãy bắt đầu âm nhạc, hãy đánh trống cơm,
Hãy khảy đàn hạc du dương hòa cùng đàn lia.
3Hãy thổi tù và vào ngày trăng mới,
Và ngày trăng tròn để báo hiệu các ngày lễ của chúng ta.
4Vì ấy là một quy luật cho Y-sơ-ra-ên,
Luật của Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp;
5Một sắc luật⚓ Ngài lập với Giô-sép
Khi Ngài đi ra đánh⚓ nước Ai-cập;
Nơi mà tiếng nói tôi nghe nhưng không hiểu.⚓
6Ta đã cất đi gánh nặng khỏi vai ngươi⚓
Và tay ngươi khỏi xách giỏ.
7Khi gian truân, ngươi cầu khẩn và Ta giải cứu ngươi;
Ta đã đáp lời ngươi từ nơi bí ẩn của sấm sét;
Ta đã thử ngươi nơi mạch nước Mê-ri-ba. Sê-la
8Hỡi dân Ta, hãy lắng tai nghe lời Ta khuyên;
Hỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên, ước gì ngươi lắng tai nghe Ta.
9Chớ có một thần lạ nào giữa vòng các ngươi,
Cũng không được thờ lạy một thần ngoại quốc nào.
10Chính Ta là CHÚA, Đức Chúa Trời ngươi;
Ta đã đem ngươi ra khỏi đất Ai-cập.
Hãy há to miệng ra, Ta sẽ đút đầy.
11Nhưng dân Ta không nghe lời Ta;
Y-sơ-ra-ên không muốn vâng phục Ta.
12Nên Ta để chúng nó đi theo tấm lòng ương ngạnh của chúng nó;
Theo mưu ý riêng của mình.
13Ước gì dân Ta nghe Ta;
Ước gì Y-sơ-ra-ên đi theo đường lối Ta;
14Thì Ta sẽ sớm chinh phục kẻ thù của chúng
Và đưa tay chống lại địch thủ của chúng nó.
15Những kẻ ghét CHÚA sẽ phải quy phục Ngài⚓
Chúng sẽ phải quy phục⚓ Ngài đời đời.
16Nhưng Ngài sẽ lấy lúa mì tốt nhất để nuôi Y-sơ-ra-ên,⚓
Và lấy mật từ đá làm chúng thỏa dạ.⚓
