Elihu Proclaims God’s Justice
1Elihu further answered and said:
2“Hear my words, you wise men;
Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.
3⚓For the ear tests words
As the palate tastes food.
4Let us choose justice for ourselves;
Let us know among ourselves what is good.
5“For Job has said, ⚓‘I am righteous,
But ⚓God has taken away my justice;
6⚓Should I lie concerning my right?
My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.’
7What man is like Job,
⚓Who drinks scorn like water,
8Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity,
And walks with wicked men?
9For ⚓he has said, ‘It profits a man nothing
That he should delight in God.’
10“Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding:
⚓Far be it from God to do wickedness,
And from the Almighty to commit iniquity.
11⚓For He repays man according to his work,
And makes man to find a reward according to his way.
12Surely God will never do wickedly,
Nor will the Almighty ⚓pervert justice.
13Who gave Him charge over the earth?
Or who appointed Him over the whole world?
14If He should set His heart on it,
If He should ⚓gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath,
15⚓All flesh would perish together,
And man would return to dust.
16“If you have understanding, hear this;
Listen to the sound of my words:
17⚓Should one who hates justice govern?
Will you ⚓condemn Him who is most just?
18⚓Is it fitting to say to a king, ‘You are worthless,’
And to nobles, ‘You are wicked’?
19Yet He ⚓is not partial to princes,
Nor does He regard the rich more than the poor;
For ⚓they are all the work of His hands.
20In a moment they die, ⚓in the middle of the night;
The people are shaken and pass away;
The mighty are taken away without a hand.
21“For⚓ His eyes are on the ways of man,
And He sees all his steps.
22⚓There is no darkness nor shadow of death
Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
23For He need not further consider a man,
That he should go before God in judgment.
24⚓He breaks in pieces mighty men without inquiry,
And sets others in their place.
25Therefore He knows their works;
He overthrows them in the night,
And they are crushed.
26He strikes them as wicked men
In the open sight of others,
27Because they ⚓turned back from Him,
And ⚓would not consider any of His ways,
28So that they ⚓caused the cry of the poor to come to Him;
For He ⚓hears the cry of the afflicted.
29When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble?
And when He hides His face, who then can see Him,
Whether it is against a nation or a man alone?—
30That the hypocrite should not reign,
Lest the people be ensnared.
31“For has anyone said to God,
‘I have borne chastening;
I will offend no more;
32Teach me what I do not see;
If I have done iniquity, I will do no more’?
33Should He repay it according to your terms,
Just because you disavow it?
You must choose, and not I;
Therefore speak what you know.
34“Men of understanding say to me,
Wise men who listen to me:
35‘Job⚓ speaks without knowledge,
His words are without wisdom.’
36Oh, that Job were tried to the utmost,
Because his answers are like those of wicked men!
37For he adds ⚓rebellion to his sin;
He claps his hands among us,
And multiplies his words against God.”

1Y-Êtihu ngơi lah đŏng:
2"Iăt hom nau gâp ngơi, hơi phung bunuyh blau mĭn, jêh ri rkêng tôr iăt hom nau gâp, khân may phung gĭt rbăng;
3yorlah trôm tôr yơh sek uănh nau ngơi,
nâm bu khay dơ̆ chiăm kah ndơ sa.
4Ăn he săch hom ma he nơm nau di, ăn he
sek uănh ndrel he moh jêng ueh.
5Yorlah Y-Yôp geh lah pô aơ:
"Gâp jêng sŏng kađôi, ƀiălah Brah Ndu hŏ sŏk rhuăt lơi jêh nau gâp jêng di.
6Nđâp lah gâp jêng sŏng kađôi lĕ, ăt
bu kơp jêh jêng du huê nuyh mƀruh;
nđâp tơlah gâp mâu geh tih ôh,
ntŭk têl sôt gâp mâu geh jĭr ôh."
7Mbu moh bunuyh tâm ban nâm Y-Yôp?
Bunuyh nhêt nau bu mưch mach nâm bu dak.
8Bunuyh sa jiăng đah nơm janh mhĭk,
jêh ri hăn ndrel phung ƀư nau djơh?
9Yorlah păng geh lah pôaơ: "Mâu geh nau khlay ma bunuyh ôh,
tĭng joi nau răm maak ma he nơm tâm ntŭk Brah Ndu."
10Yor nây, hơi phung gĭt rbăng,
khân may iăt hom nau gâp;
Brah Ndu mâu mâp ƀư nau djơh ôh.
Nơm Geh Lĕ Nau Brah mâu lĕ mâp ƀư janh mhĭk.
11Păng mra nkhôm ma kon bunuyh,
tĭng nâm kan păng hŏ pah.
Jêh ri gay ăn ăp nơm dơi joi tay
tĭng nâm nuih n'hâm păng ƀư jêh.
12N'hêl nanê̆ Brah Ndu mâu mâp ƀư nau djơh ôh.
Nơm Geh Lĕ Nau Brah mâu geh nsŭk
ƀư tih teng đah nau sŏng ôh.
13Mbu nơm ăn Brah Ndu jêng kôranh ma rplay neh?
Mbu nơm dơm Păng chiă uănh lam bri neh ntu?
14Tơlah Păng kanŏng mĭn rvê êng ma Păng nơm,
sŏk sĭt ma păng huêng ngăt jêh ri n'hâm nsôr Păng nơm
15Pôri le rngôch phung nglay săk nanê̆
mra khĭt ndrel lĕ ro, jêh ri bunuyh
mra plơ̆ sĭt ma ndruyh neh.
16"Tơlah khân may geh nau gĭt rbăng,
iăt hom nau aơ, rkêng tôr ma nau gâp ngơi.
17Mra geh lĕ du huê nuyh tâm rmot
ma nau sŏng jêng Kôranh Chiă uănh?
May mra tâm rmal lĕ nơm jêng sŏng jêh ri geh nau dơi,
18Dơi lah lĕ ma hađăch pôaơ:
"Ndơ dơm dam?" jêh ri lah
ma phung kôranh "Bunuyh djơh mhĭk?"
19Ang ma ri Nơm mâu gŭ ôh mpeh ma phung kôranh, kŏ mâu chrê lĕ ma
phung ndrŏng âk lơn ma phung o ach.
Yorlah le rngôch khân păng jêng kan ti păng ƀư?
20Ƀât lât, klong măng khân păng khĭt dadê,
Nuih n'hâm râm nsâr jêh ri rai yot,
le rngôch phung katang roh jêh mâu di
ôh yor ma ti kon bunuyh ƀư.
21"Yorlah măt Brah Ndu uănh treng
ma trong kon bunuyh, jêh ri Păng saơ
lĕ nhuat khân păng.
22Mâu geh ôh ntŭk ngo klĕng vêt vê.
Gay ăn ma bunuyh djơh dơi krap.
23Tơlah Brah Ndu phat dôih kon bunuyh
mâu kâp gay ăn khân păng văch tât
panăp măt Păng bar tơ̆ ôh gay ôp sek.
24Păng ƀư rai phung katang mâu kâp ôp sek lor ôh,
jêh nây njêng bu êng ntrok păng.
25Yorlah Kôranh Brah gĭt lĕ kan khân păng.
Pôri Păng n'glưh khân păng dôl bri
măng, jêh ri khân păng roh rai.
26Kôranh Brah lơh rai khân păng nâm bu bunuyh djơh mhĭk, ăn bu êng saơ khân păng.
27Yorlah khân păng chalơi mâu hôm
tĭng Kôranh Brah ôh, jêh ri
mâu chrê ôh ma trong Păng.
28Khân păng ƀư ăn phung o ach lŭng
nter tăng tât ma tôr Păng,
jêh ri Kôranh Brah tăng bâr nter bơh phung rêh ni.
29Tơlah Păng ăn nau đăp mpăn,
mbu nơm mra ƀư ăn nau uh ah?
Tơlah Păng pôn muh măt păng, mbu nơm mra saơ Păng?
Păng ƀư tâm ban pônây mâu lah
mbu ntil mpôl mâu lah mbu bunuyh?
30Gay lơi ăn ôh bunuyh mhĭk
chiă uănh, jêh ri gay ma nơm nây
mâu mra ntô̆p phung ƀon lan tâm trôm dăk bu sân.
31"Yorlah mâp geh lĕ bunuyh lah ma
Brah Ndu pôaơ: "Gâp hŏ dơn jêh
nau nduyh nkra ma gâp, gâp mâu
mra ƀư mhĭk đŏng ôh;
32Sâm nti ma gâp moh nau gâp ê hŏ
gĭt rbăng; tơlah gâp ƀư mhĭk, gâp
mâu mra ƀư đŏng ôh? Pôri,
33Brah Ndu mra ăn lĕ nau nkhôm
tĭng nâm nau may ŭch, yorlah may
lĕ dun jêh nau nkra nây?
Yorlah may nơm yơh mra săch, mâu di gâp ôh;
pôri mbơh hom moh nau may gĭt.
34Phung bunuyh geh nau gĭt rbăng mra
lah ma gâp, jêh ri bunuyh blau mĭn
gŭ iăt nau gâp mra lah:
35"Y-Yôp ngơi mâu geh ma nau
gĭt vât ôh, jêh ri nau păng ngơi
mâu geh nau gĭt rbăng lĕ."
36Gâp gay ma Y-Yôp dơn nau rlong uănh kŏ tât lôch.
Yorlah păng plơ̆ sĭt lah nâm bu phung bunuyh djơh mhĭk.
37Yorlah păng ntop tay nau tâm rdâng
ndrel ma nau tih păng; păng tap
ti păng tra năp hên, jêh ri lơ hâu
ntop nau ngơi tâm rdâng đah Brah Ndu."
