Trận lụt lớn
1Đức Giê-hô-va phán với Nô-ê: “Con và cả gia đình con hãy vào tàu, vì trong thế hệ nầy Ta thấy con là người công chính duy nhất trước mặt Ta.
2Con hãy đem theo các loài thú vật thanh sạch, mỗi loài bảy cặp, đực và cái; còn loài không thanh sạch thì mỗi loài một cặp, đực và cái.
3Con cũng đem theo các loài chim trời, mỗi thứ bảy cặp, trống và mái, để giữ giống trên khắp mặt đất.
4Vì còn bảy ngày nữa, Ta sẽ đổ mưa xuống đất suốt bốn mươi ngày bốn mươi đêm, và Ta sẽ quét sạch khỏi mặt đất tất cả các sinh vật mà Ta đã dựng nên.”
5Nô-ê làm theo mọi điều Đức Giê-hô-va đã truyền phán.
6Nô-ê được sáu trăm tuổi khi trận lụt xảy ra trên đất.
7Nô-ê cùng với vợ, các con trai và các con dâu đều vào tàu để tránh nước lụt.⚓
8Các loài vật thanh sạch và không thanh sạch, loài chim, loài bò sát trên đất,
9từng cặp, đực và cái, đều cùng vào tàu với Nô-ê, đúng như lời Đức Chúa Trời đã truyền phán.
10Bảy ngày sau, nước lụt tràn đến trên đất.
11Đúng vào ngày mười bảy, tháng hai, năm thứ sáu trăm của đời Nô-ê, các nguồn của vực lớn nổ tung, và các cửa đập trên trời mở toang.⚓
12Mưa trút xuống đất suốt bốn mươi ngày và bốn mươi đêm.
13Cũng chính trong ngày đó, Nô-ê và vợ, ba con trai là Sem, Cham và Gia-phết, và ba con dâu cùng vào tàu.
14Họ và các loài thú rừng tùy theo loại, gia súc tùy theo loại, loài bò sát trên đất tùy theo loại, chim tùy theo loại, tức là tất cả loài có cánh,
15đều từng cặp theo Nô-ê vào tàu. Mọi loài xác thịt có hơi thở,
16một đực một cái, một trống một mái, tiến vào tàu, đúng như lời Đức Chúa Trời đã truyền phán với Nô-ê. Rồi Đức Giê-hô-va đóng cửa tàu lại.
17Nước lụt phủ mặt đất suốt bốn mươi ngày. Nước dâng cao nâng chiếc tàu lên khỏi mặt đất.
18Nước cứ lớn, dâng rất cao trên mặt đất và chiếc tàu nổi trên mặt nước.
19Nước càng dâng cao trên đất, cao đến nỗi tất cả những ngọn núi cao dưới bầu trời đều bị ngập.
20Nước phủ cao hơn các đỉnh núi đến bảy mét rưỡi.
21Tất cả các loài xác thịt sống động trên mặt đất đều bị tiêu diệt, từ chim chóc, gia súc, thú rừng, loài bò lúc nhúc trên mặt đất, cho đến loài người.
22Tất cả các loài có hơi thở trong lỗ mũi, tức là các loài sống trên đất liền, đều chết hết.
23Ngài đã diệt sạch mọi sinh vật trên mặt đất, từ loài người cho đến loài thú, loài bò sát, và loài chim trời. Tất cả đều bị quét sạch khỏi đất, chỉ còn lại Nô-ê và các loài ở với ông trong tàu mà thôi.
24Nước bao phủ mặt đất suốt một trăm năm mươi ngày.

1The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
2Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate,
3and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.
4Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”
5And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.
6Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.
7And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
8Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground,
9male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.
10And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.
11In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
12And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.
14They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.
15Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.
16The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.
17For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.
18The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
19They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered.
20The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits.⚓⚓
21Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.
22Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.
23Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.
24The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
