Phân công cho con cháu A-rôn
1Con cháu của A-rôn được phân chia thành nhiều ban. Các con trai của A-rôn là Na-đáp, A-bi-hu, Ê-lê-a-sa, và Y-tha-ma.
2Na-đáp và A-bi-hu chết trước cha mình và không có con nên Ê-lê-a-sa và Y-tha-ma giữ chức tế lễ.⚓
3Đa-vít cùng với Xa-đốc, con cháu Ê-lê-a-sa, và A-hi-mê-léc, con cháu Y-tha-ma, phân chia con cháu A-rôn thành nhiều ban theo nhiệm vụ của họ.
4Vì trong con cháu Ê-lê-a-sa có nhiều trưởng gia tộc hơn con cháu Y-tha-ma nên họ phân chia như sau: Con cháu Ê-lê-a-sa có mười sáu trưởng gia tộc, và con cháu Y-tha-ma có tám trưởng gia tộc.
5Họ phân chia bằng cách bắt thăm từng ban, hết ban nầy đến ban kia; vì các viên chức của nơi thánh và các viên chức của Đức Chúa Trời đều thuộc trong số con cháu Ê-lê-a-sa và con cháu Y-tha-ma.
6Thư ký Sê-ma-gia, con của Na-tha-na-ên, thuộc bộ tộc Lê-vi, ghi tên của họ vào sổ trước mặt vua và các nhà lãnh đạo, trước mặt thầy tế lễ Xa-đốc, A-hi-mê-léc con của A-bia-tha, và trước mặt các trưởng gia tộc của những thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi. Họ bắt thăm cứ mỗi gia tộc thuộc con cháu Ê-lê-a-sa thì đến một gia tộc thuộc con cháu Y-tha-ma.
7Thăm thứ nhất trúng nhằm Giê-hô-gia-ríp, thăm thứ nhì trúng Giê-đa-ê-gia,
8thăm thứ ba trúng Ha-rim, thăm thứ tư trúng Sê-ô-rim,
9thăm thứ năm trúng Manh-kia, thăm thứ sáu trúng Mia-min,
10thăm thứ bảy trúng Ha-cốt, thăm thứ tám trúng A-bi-gia,
11thăm thứ chín trúng Giê-sua, thăm thứ mười trúng Sê-ca-nia,
12thăm thứ mười một trúng Ê-li-a-síp, thăm thứ mười hai trúng Gia-kim,
13thăm thứ mười ba trúng Húp-pa, thăm thứ mười bốn trúng Giê-sê-báp,
14thăm thứ mười lăm trúng Binh-ga, thăm thứ mười sáu trúng Y-mê,
15thăm thứ mười bảy trúng Hê-xia, thăm thứ mười tám trúng Phi-xết,
16thăm thứ mười chín trúng Phê-ta-hia, thăm thứ hai mươi trúng Ê-xê-chi-ên,
17thăm thứ hai mươi mốt trúng Gia-kin, thăm thứ hai mươi hai trúng Ga-mun,
18thăm thứ hai mươi ba trúng Đê-la-gia, thăm thứ hai mươi bốn trúng Ma-a-xia.
19Trên đây là các phân ban của họ để vào phục vụ trong đền thờ Đức Giê-hô-va theo quy định của A-rôn, tổ phụ họ, đã thiết lập, đúng như Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên đã truyền.
Phân công cho các con cháu còn lại của Lê-vi
20Các con cháu còn lại của Lê-vi gồm có: Trong con cháu Am-ram có Su-ba-ên; trong con cháu Su-ba-ên có Giê-đia;
21trong con cháu Rê-ha-bia có Di-si-gia đứng đầu;
22trong con cháu Dít-sê-ha có Sê-lô-mít; trong con cháu Sê-lô-mốt có Gia-hát;
23trong con cháu Hếp-rôn có Giê-ri-gia đứng đầu, thứ nhì là A-ma-ria, thứ ba là Gia-ha-xi-ên, và thứ tư là Gia-ca-mê-am;
24trong con cháu U-xi-ên có Mi-ca; trong con cháu Mi-ca có Sa-mia.
25Anh em của Mi-ca là Di-si-gia; trong con cháu Di-si-gia có Xa-cha-ri.
26Các con của Mê-ra-ri là Mác-li, Mu-si và Gia-a-xi-gia.
27Gia-a-xi-gia, con của Mê-ra-ri, có ba người con là Sô-ham, Xác-cua, và Y-bê-ri.
28Con của Mác-li là Ê-lê-a-sa, là người không có con trai.
29Trong con cháu Kích có Giê-rác-mê-ên.
30Các con của Mu-si là Mác-li, Ê-đe và Giê-ri-mốt. Đó là con cháu Lê-vi, theo dòng tộc của họ.
31Cũng như anh em mình, là con cháu A-rôn, họ được bắt thăm trước mặt vua Đa-vít, Xa-đốc, A-hi-mê-léc, và trước mặt các trưởng gia tộc của những thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi. Trưởng gia tộc cũng như người em út mình đều được bắt thăm.

The Divisions of the Priests
1Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. ⚓The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2And ⚓Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests.
3Then David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and ⚓Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to the schedule of their service.
4There were more leaders found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Eleazar were sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and eight heads of their fathers’ houses among the sons of Ithamar.
5Thus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God, from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar.
6And the scribe, Shemaiah the son of Nethanel, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, the leaders, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites, one father’s house taken for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.
7Now the first lot fell to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to ⚓Abijah,
11the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,
17the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19This was the schedule of their service ⚓for coming into the house of the Lord according to their ordinance by the hand of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.
Other Levites
20And the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
21Concerning ⚓Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.
22Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
23Of the sons of⚓Hebron, Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
24Of the sons of Uzziel, Michah; of the sons of Michah, Shamir.
25The brother of Michah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
26⚓The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; the son of Jaaziah, Beno.
27The sons of Merari by Jaaziah were Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
28Of Mahli: Eleazar, ⚓who had no sons.
29Of Kish: the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.
30Also ⚓the sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.
31These also cast lots just as their brothers the sons of Aaron did, in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites. The chief fathers did just as their younger brethren.
