1“Thaum uas kuv xav kho kuv haivneeg Yixalayees thiab ua kom lawv rov vammeej dua, los kuv tsuas pom tej kev phem kev qias uas lawv ua xwb. Lawv ib leeg dag ntxias ib leeg; lawv tsoo luag tsev thiab nyiag luag khoom; lawv huab luag tug ntawm tej kev. 2Lawv xav tsis txog hais tias kuv yuav cim ntsoov tej kev phem kev qias uas lawv ua; lawv tej kev txhaum nyob puagncig lawv, thiab kuv pom ntsoov tsis muaj ib yam dabtsi roos tau li.”

Tuavhauv ua Phem Rau Vajntxwv

3Tus TSWV hais tias, “Tej pejxeem tuav hauv dag ntxias uas phem rau vajntxwv thiab nws cov nomtswv. 4Lawv sawvdaws puavleej yog neeg ntxeev siab thiab tsis sib hwm. Lawv tej kev ntxub kub ib yam li lub qhovtxos uas luag rauv cub ncuav thiab cig ntsaj thuav mus txog thaum ncuav siav tsis tsij taws ntxiv li. 5Hnub uas lawv ua kevcai hawm vajntxwv, lawv muab cawv txhaus vajntxwv thiab nws cov nomtswv kom qaug thiab vwm cawv ua dog ua dig. 6Lawv txojkev tuav hauv kub ib yam li lub qhovtxos. Lawv txojkev chim ntaiv hwv ib hmo, ces thaum kaj ntug lawv txojkev chim txawm cig plaws ib yam li tej nplaim taws.
7“Vim lawv txojkev chim uas kub heev ntawd, lawv thiaj muab lawv cov thawjcoj tua povtseg. Lawv cov vajntxwv raug tua ib tug dhau ib tug, tiamsis tsis muaj leejtwg tsa ncauj thov kuv pab li.”

Cov Yixalayees thiab Lwm Haivneeg

8Tus TSWV hais tias, “Cov Yixalayees zoo ib yam li lub ncuav uas muab cub siav txog nrab xwb. Lawv cia siab kawg rau tej haivneeg uas nyob puagncig lawv. 9Lawv twb tsis paub hais tias qhov uas lawv tso siab rau cov neeg txawv tebchaws ntawd ua rau lawv lub zog ntaug zuj zus lawm. Vajtswv twb teem hnub kawg cia rau lawv lawm, tiamsis lawv tsis paub li. 10Cov Yixalayees tej kev khavtheeb rov kom lawv lawm. Txawm yog twb muaj tej xwm no los lawv tseem tsis kam tig los cuag tus TSWV uas yog lawv tus Vajtswv. 11Cov Yixalayees lub siab ywjfab ywjfwj ib yam li tus nquab uas ya mus ya los tsis paub yuav tsaws qhov twg; thawj zaug lawv mus thov cov Iziv pab, ces tom qab ntawd lawv ho mus thov cov Axilias pab! 12Tiamsis kuv yuav nthuav vas cuab lawv ib yam li cuab noog. Kuv yuav rau txim rau lawv, vim tej kev phem kev qias uas lawv tau ua tas los.
13“Lawv raug puastsuaj lawm! Lawv tau ntxeev siab rau kuv thiab tso kuv tseg. Lawv yuav raug kev puastsuaj. Kuv xav cawm kom lawv dim, tiamsis lawv tsis muaj nplooj siab pehawm kuv tiag. 14Lawv tsis muaj lub siab dawb paug thov kuv tiag, tiamsis lawv lam quaj tso cev da xwb. Thaum lawv thov kuv pub nplej thiab cawv txiv hmab rau lawv, lawv muab riam hlais lawv tej nqaij to. Lawv ntxeev siab rau kuv! 15Kuv yog tus cob qhia lawv thiab txhawb kom lawv muaj zog los lawv tseem ntxeev siab tawmtsam kuv. 16Lawv tso kuv tseg thiab mus teev tus vajtswv uas tsis muaj hwjchim dabtsi li. Kuv cia siab tsis tau rau lawv ib yam li tus qhaub hneevnti uas tuag duav lawm. Rau qhov lawv cov thawjcoj khavtheeb heev, lawv yuav raug hniav ntaj tuag tas, thiab cov Iziv yuav luag lawv plig.”

  1“When I would have healed Israel,
   Then the iniquity of Ephraim was uncovered,
   And the wickedness of Samaria.
   For they have committed fraud;
   A thief comes in;
   A band of robbers takes spoil outside.
   2They do not consider in their hearts
   ThatI remember all their wickedness;
   Now their own deeds have surrounded them;
   They are before My face.
   3They make a king glad with their wickedness,
   And princes with their lies.
  4“Theyare all adulterers.
   Like an oven heated by a baker—
   He ceases stirring the fire after kneading the dough,
   Until it is leavened.
   5In the day of our king
   Princes have made him sick, inflamed with wine;
   He stretched out his hand with scoffers.
   6They prepare their heart like an oven,
   While they lie in wait;
   Their baker sleeps all night;
   In the morning it burns like a flaming fire.
   7They are all hot, like an oven,
   And have devoured their judges;
   All their kings have fallen.
   None among them calls upon Me.
  8“Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples;
   Ephraim is a cake unturned.
   9Aliens have devoured his strength,
   But he does not know it;
   Yes, gray hairs are here and there on him,
   Yet he does not know it.
   10And the pride of Israel testifies to his face,
   But they do not return to the Lord their God,
   Nor seek Him for all this.

Futile Reliance on the Nations

  11“Ephraim also is like a silly dove, without sense—
   They call to Egypt,
   They go to Assyria.
   12Wherever they go, I will spread My net on them;
   I will bring them down like birds of the air;
   I will chastise them
   According to what their congregation has heard.
  13“Woe to them, for they have fled from Me!
   Destruction to them,
   Because they have transgressed against Me!
   Though I redeemed them,
   Yet they have spoken lies against Me.
   14They did not cry out to Me with their heart
   When they wailed upon their beds.
  “They assemble together for grain and new wine,
   They rebel against Me;
   15Though I disciplined and strengthened their arms,
   Yet they devise evil against Me;
   16They return, but not to the Most High;
   They are like a treacherous bow.
   Their princes shall fall by the sword
   For the cursings of their tongue.
   This shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
