Immorality Defiles the Church
1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s ⚓wife!
2⚓And you are puffed up, and have not rather ⚓mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3⚓For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed.
4In the ⚓name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, ⚓with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5⚓deliver such a one to ⚓Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6⚓Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that ⚓a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
7Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed ⚓Christ, our ⚓Passover, was sacrificed for us.
8Therefore ⚓let us keep the feast, ⚓not with old leaven, nor ⚓with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Immorality Must Be Judged
9I wrote to you in my epistle ⚓not to keep company with sexually immoral people.
10Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go ⚓out of the world.
11But now I have written to you not to keep company ⚓with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—⚓not even to eat with such a person.
12For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
13But those who are outside God judges. Therefore ⚓“put away from yourselves the evil person.”

Khai trừ kẻ vô luân
1Được tin trong vòng anh em có vụ dâm loạn ghê tởm hơn cả các dân ngoại đạo: có người dám lấy vợ kế của cha mình!
2Thế mà anh em vẫn kiêu hãnh, không biết than khóc để loại kẻ phạm tội ra khỏi đoàn thể.
3Mặc dù vắng mặt, nhưng tâm linh tôi vẫn ở với anh em, nên tôi đã quyết định xử phạt người phạm tội như tôi đang có mặt.
4Nhân danh Chúa Giê-xu, anh em trong Hội thánh hội họp với tâm linh tôi, và nhờ quyền năng Chúa Giê-xu,
5chúng ta giao người ấy cho Sa-tan để hủy diệt thân xác, nhưng linh hồn được cứu khi Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu trở lại.
6Thế mà anh em vẫn khoe khoang không biết xấu hổ! Anh em không biết một ít men làm cả đống bột dậy lên sao?
7Hãy loại bỏ kẻ tội lỗi đó — chẳng khác gì tẩy sạch men cũ — để anh em được tinh sạch như bánh không men. Vì Chúa Cứu Thế là Chiên Con của Thượng Đế đã bị giết thay chúng ta rồi.
8Vậy hãy ăn lễ Vượt qua với bánh không men — là lòng thành thật, chân chính — và loại bỏ men cũ gian trá, độc ác.
9Trong thư trước, tôi khuyên anh em đừng kết bạn với người gian dâm.
10Tôi không có ý nói về người ngoại đạo gian dâm, hoặc tham lam, trộm cắp, thờ thần tượng, vì nếu thế, anh em phải ra khỏi thế gian.
11Nhưng tôi muốn khuyên anh em đừng kết bạn với người tự xưng là tín hữu mà còn gian dâm, tham lam, thờ thần tượng hoặc chửi rủa, nghiện rượu, trộm cắp. Cũng đừng ăn uống với những hạng người ấy.
12Vì chúng ta không có phận sự xét xử người thế gian, nhưng phải nghiêm minh xét xử người phạm tội trong Hội thánh.
13Thượng Đế sẽ xét xử người thế gian. Còn anh em phải khai trừ người gian ác ấy.
