Immorality Defiles the Church

¹It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s ⚓wife! ²⚓And you are puffed up, and have not rather ⚓mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. ³⚓For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. ⁴In the ⚓name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, ⚓with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁵⚓deliver such a one to ⚓Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
⁶⚓Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that ⚓a little leaven leavens the whole lump? ⁷Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed ⚓Christ, our ⚓Passover, was sacrificed for us. ⁸Therefore ⚓let us keep the feast, ⚓not with old leaven, nor ⚓with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Immorality Must Be Judged

⁹I wrote to you in my epistle ⚓not to keep company with sexually immoral people. ¹⁰Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go ⚓out of the world. ¹¹But now I have written to you not to keep company ⚓with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—⚓not even to eat with such a person.
¹²For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? ¹³But those who are outside God judges. Therefore ⚓“put away from yourselves the evil person.”

Vấn Đề Vô Luân Trong Hội Thánh

¹Thật ra có tin lan truyền rằng giữa anh chị em có điều dâm ô đến nỗi người ngoại đạo cũng không dâm loạn như thế. Có người lấy vợ kế của cha mình. ²Đã thế, anh chị em vẫn kiêu căng, thay vì than khóc và nên loại bỏ người có hành động ấy ra khỏi anh chị em.
³Vì tôi, dù thể xác xa cách nhưng tâm thần vẫn hiện diện với anh chị em. Tôi đã quyết định lên án người này như là tôi có mặt tại đó. ⁴Khi anh chị em hội họp lại, hãy nhân danh Chúa Giê-su, và tâm thần tôi cũng hiện diện với anh chị em, cùng với quyền năng của Chúa Giê-su chúng ta, ⁵mà giao phó kẻ đó cho quỷ Sa-tan hủy hoại phần xác để phần hồn được cứu rỗi trong ngày của Chúa.
⁶Điều anh chị em khoe khoang, không có gì tốt cả. Anh chị em không biết rằng một chút men làm cả đống bột dậy lên sao? ⁷Hãy tẩy sạch men cũ đi, để anh chị em trở nên bột mới, như bánh không men. Vì Chúa Cứu Thế chính là con chiên sinh tế của chúng ta trong lễ Vượt Qua đã bị hy sinh. ⁸Vậy, hãy cử hành lễ Vượt Qua, không phải với men cũ là men vu cáo, gian ác nhưng với bánh không men tức là lòng chân thành và lẽ thật.
⁹Trong thư tôi viết cho anh chị em có dặn anh chị em không nên giao thiệp với những kẻ gian dâm. ¹⁰Ý tôi nói không phải những kẻ gian dâm của thế gian này, hay là những kẻ tham lam, kẻ lường gạt hay thờ thần tượng, nếu thế anh chị em tất phải lìa bỏ thế gian này. ¹¹Nay tôi viết cho anh chị em bảo đừng giao thiệp với bất cứ ai tự xưng mình là anh chị em mà gian dâm, tham lam, thờ thần tượng, chửi rủa, say sưa, lường gạt, cũng đừng ăn uống với người như thế.
¹²Tại sao tôi lại xét đoán người ngoài làm gì? Không phải anh chị em xét đoán người trong Hội Thánh sao? ¹³Đức Chúa Trời là Đấng đoán xét người ngoài. Anh chị em hãy loại bỏ kẻ gian ác khỏi anh chị em.
