David Prepares to Build the Temple
1Then David said, ⚓“This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
2So David commanded to gather the ⚓aliens who were in the land of Israel; and he appointed masons to ⚓cut hewn stones to build the house of God.
3And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails of the doors of the gates and for the joints, and bronze in abundance ⚓beyond measure,
4and cedar trees in abundance; for the ⚓Sidonians and those from Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
5Now David said, ⚓“Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the Lordmust be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all countries. I will now make preparation for it.” So David made abundant preparations before his death.
6Then he called for his son Solomon, and charged him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel.
7And David said to Solomon: “My son, as for me, ⚓it was in my mind to build a house ⚓to the name of the Lord my God;
8but the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ⚓‘You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight.
9⚓Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him ⚓rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.
10⚓He shall build a house for My name, and ⚓he shall be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’
11Now, my son, may ⚓the Lord be with you; and may you prosper, and build the house of the Lord your God, as He has said to you.
12Only may the Lord⚓give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.
13⚓Then you will prosper, if you take care to fulfill the statutes and judgments with which the Lord charged Moses concerning Israel. ⚓Be strong and of good courage; do not fear nor be dismayed.
14Indeed I have taken much trouble to prepare for the house of the Lord one hundred thousand talents of gold and one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron ⚓beyond measure, for it is so abundant. I have prepared timber and stone also, and you may add to them.
15Moreover there are workmen with you in abundance: woodsmen and stonecutters, and all types of skillful men for every kind of work.
16Of gold and silver and bronze and iron there is no limit. Arise and begin working, and ⚓the Lord be with you.”
17David also commanded all the ⚓leaders of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
18“Is not the Lord your God with you? ⚓And has He not given you rest on every side? For He has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and before His people.
19Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Therefore arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, to ⚓bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy articles of God into the house that is to be built ⚓for the name of the Lord.”

5Kyuadah Y-Đawit lač, “Y-Salômôn anak êkei kâo ăt hlăk ai ka thâo bruă ôh, leh anăn sang čiăng mdơ̆ng kơ Yêhôwa srăng jing siam kdrăm êdimima, mâo klei hing ang leh anăn guh kơang tar ƀar jih čar; snăn yơh kâo srăng mkra kơ bruă anăn.” Snăn Y-Đawit duah bi mâo lu mnơ̆ng êlâo ñu djiê.
6Leh anăn ñu iêu Y-Salômôn anak êkei ñu, leh anăn mtă kơ gơ̆ brei mdơ̆ng sa boh sang kơ Yêhôwa Aê Diê Israel.
7 Y-Đawit lač kơ Y-Salômôn, “Ơ dam, ai tiê kâo mâo klei čiăng mdơ̆ng sa boh sang kơ Anăn Yêhôwa Aê Diê kâo.
8Ƀiădah Yêhôwa blŭ kơ kâo, lač, ‘Ih tuh leh lu êrah leh anăn ngă leh lu klei bi blah prŏng; ih amâo srăng mdơ̆ng sa boh sang kơ Anăn kâo ôh, kyuadah ih tuh leh lu êrah đei ti anăp kâo ti dlông rŏng lăn ala.
9Nĕ anei, arăng srăng kkiêng kơ ih sa čô anak êkei; ñu srăng jing sa čô êkei êđăp ênang. Kâo srăng brei kơ ñu klei êđăp ênang mơ̆ng jih jang phung roh jŭm dar ñu, kyuadah anăn ñu srăng jing Y-Salômôn, leh anăn kâo srăng brei klei êđăp ênang leh anăn klei mdei kơ phung Israel hlăm ênuk ñu.
10Ñu srăng mdơ̆ng sa boh sang kơ anăn kâo. Ñu srăng jing anak êkei kâo, leh anăn kâo srăng jing ama ñu, leh anăn kâo srăng bi kjăp jhưng mtao ñu hlăm čar Israel nanao hlŏng lar.’
11Ară anei, Ơ dam, brei Yêhôwa dôk mbĭt hŏng ih, snăn kơh ih dưi mdơ̆ng sang kơ Yêhôwa Aê Diê ih, tui si ñu blŭ leh klei djŏ kơ ih.
12Knŏng akâo kơ Yêhôwa brei kơ ih klei thâo mĭn leh anăn klei thâo săng, čiăng kơ tơdah ñu brei bruă kơ ih kiă kriê phung Israel ih dưi djă pioh klei bhiăn Yêhôwa Aê Diê ih.
13 Snăn ih srăng mâo klei čăt jing tơdah ih răng čiăng djă pioh klei bhiăn leh anăn klei mtă Yêhôwa brei leh kơ Y-Môis djŏ kơ phung Israel. Jing ktang bĕ, leh anăn jing jhŏng bĕ. Đăm huĭ ôh, đăm êdu ai ôh.
14Hŏng klei suăi snăk kâo duah leh čiăng bi mâo mnơ̆ng mkra sang Yêhôwa, sa êtuh êbâo talăng mah, sa klăk talăng prăk, leh anăn kông wăt msei amâo dưi mkă ôh, kyuadah mâo lu đei. Kâo duah bi mâo leh kyâo leh anăn boh tâo msĕ mơh. Brei ih lŏ thiăm kơ mnơ̆ng anei.
15Ih mâo êbeh dlai mnuih mă bruă: phung krah boh tâo, phung mdơ̆ng boh tâo, phung krah kmeh, leh anăn djăp mta phung mbruă amâo dưi yap ôh, phung knhăk ngă bruă
16hŏng mah, prăk, kông, leh anăn msei. Kgŭ ngă bĕ! Akâo kơ Yêhôwa dôk mbĭt hŏng ih!”

18“Amâo djŏ hĕ Yêhôwa Aê Diê diih dôk mbĭt hŏng diih? Leh anăn amâo djŏ hĕ ñu brei leh klei êđăp ênang kơ diih jŭm gah găn? Kyuadah ñu jao leh phung dôk hlăm čar kơ kngan kâo; leh anăn čar mŭt leh diih ti anăp Yêhôwa leh anăn phung ƀuôn sang ñu.
19Ară anei čuăn bĕ hlăm klei mĭn leh anăn ai tiê diih čiăng duah Yêhôwa Aê Diê diih. Kgŭ bĕ leh anăn mdơ̆ng anôk doh jăk kơ Yêhôwa Aê Diê, čiăng kơ hip klei bi mguôp Yêhôwa leh anăn čhiên mngan doh jăk Aê Diê arăng dưi ba mŭt dưm hlăm sa boh sang mdơ̆ng leh kơ anăn Yêhôwa.”
