Elijah Ascends to Heaven
1And it came to pass, when the Lord was about to ⚓take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with ⚓Elisha from Gilgal.
2Then Elijah said to Elisha, ⚓“Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Bethel.”
But Elisha said, “As the Lord lives, and ⚓as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they went down to Bethel.
3Now ⚓the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?”
And he said, “Yes, I know; keep silent!”
4Then Elijah said to him, “Elisha, stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Jericho.”
But he said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they came to Jericho.
5Now the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came to Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?”
So he answered, “Yes, I know; keep silent!”
6Then Elijah said to him, “Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to the Jordan.”
But he said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So the two of them went on.
7And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood facing them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan.
8Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and ⚓it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ⚓ground.
9And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?”
Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”
10So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”
11Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly ⚓a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah ⚓went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, ⚓“My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces.
13He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.
14Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, ⚓it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over.
15Now when the sons of the prophets who were⚓from Jericho saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.
16Then they said to him, “Look now, there are fifty strong men with your servants. Please let them go and search for your master, ⚓lest perhaps the Spirit of the Lord has taken him up and cast him upon some mountain or into some valley.”
And he said, “You shall not send anyone.”
17But when they urged him till he was ⚓ashamed, he said, “Send them!” Therefore they sent fifty men, and they searched for three days but did not find him.
18And when they came back to him, for he had stayed in Jericho, he said to them, “Did I not say to you, ‘Do not go’?”
Elisha Performs Miracles
19Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren.”
20And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him.
21Then he went out to the source of the water, and ⚓cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’ ”
22So the water remains ⚓healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.
23Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”
24So he turned around and looked at them, and ⚓pronounced a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.
25Then he went from there to ⚓Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.

1耶和華要用旋風接以利亞升天的時候，以利亞與以利沙從吉甲往前行。
2以利亞對以利沙說：「耶和華差遣我往伯特利去，你可以留在這裏。」以利沙說：「我指着永生的耶和華，又指着你的性命起誓，我必不離開你。」於是二人下到伯特利。
3在伯特利的先知的門徒出來，到以利沙那裏，對他說：「耶和華今日要接你的師父離開你⚓，你知不知道？」他說：「我知道，你們不要作聲。」
4以利亞對以利沙說：「耶和華差遣我往耶利哥去，你可以留在這裏。」以利沙說：「我指着永生的耶和華，又指着你的性命起誓，我必不離開你。」於是二人到了耶利哥。
5在耶利哥的先知的門徒來靠近以利沙，對他說：「耶和華今日要接你的師父離開你，你知不知道？」他說：「我知道，你們不要作聲。」
6以利亞對以利沙說：「耶和華差遣我往約旦河去，你可以留在這裏。」以利沙說：「我指着永生的耶和華，又指着你的性命起誓，我必不離開你。」於是二人一同往前行。
7有五十個先知的門徒同去，遠遠地站在他們對面；他們二人在約旦河邊站住。
8以利亞捲起自己的外衣，用來打水，水就左右分開，二人走乾地過去。
9過去之後，以利亞對以利沙說：「我未被接去離開你以前，你要我為你做甚麼，只管求。」以利沙說：「願感動你的靈雙倍感動我。」
10以利亞說：「你求的是一件難事。我被接去離開你的時候，你若看見我，就必得着；若不然，就得不着了。」
以利亞乘旋風升天
11他們邊走邊說話的時候，看哪，有火馬和火焰車出現，把二人隔開，以利亞就乘旋風升天去了。
12以利沙看見，就呼叫說：「我父啊！我父啊！以色列的戰車騎兵啊！」以利沙不再看見他的時候，就把自己的衣服撕為兩片。
13他拾起以利亞身上掉下來的外衣，回去站在約旦河邊。
14他用以利亞身上掉下來的外衣打水，說：「耶和華－以利亞的上帝在哪裏呢？」打水之後，水也左右分開，以利沙就過去了。
15在耶利哥的先知的門徒從對面看見他，說：「感動以利亞的靈臨到以利沙身上了。」他們就來迎接他，俯伏於地，向他下拜，
16對他說：「看哪，僕人這裏有五十個壯士，請你讓他們去尋找你師父，或者耶和華的靈將他提起來，投在某山某谷。」以利沙說：「你們不必派人去。」
17他們再三催促，直到他不好意思，就說：「你們派人去吧！」他們就派了五十個人去，尋找了三天，也沒有找着他。
18以利沙仍然留在耶利哥，他們回到他那裏，他對他們說：「我不是告訴你們不必去嗎？」
以利沙的神蹟
19耶利哥城的人對以利沙說：「看哪，這城的地勢美好，正如我主所看見的，只是水質惡劣，地也沒有生產。」
20以利沙說：「你們拿一個新的瓶子來，裏面裝鹽。」他們就拿給他。
21他出去到了水源，把鹽倒在那裏，說：「耶和華如此說：『我治好了這水，從那裏不會再有死亡和不生產的事了。』」
22於是那水治好了，直到今日，正如以利沙所說的話。
23以利沙從那裏上伯特利去。正上路的時候，有些孩童從城裏出來，譏笑他，對他說：「禿頭的，上去吧！禿頭的，上去吧！」
24他轉過身來瞪着他們，奉耶和華的名詛咒他們。於是有兩隻母熊從林中出來，撕裂他們當中的四十二個孩童。
25以利沙從伯特利上迦密山，又從那裏回到撒瑪利亞。
