Marriage of Female Heirs
1Now the chief fathers of the families of the ⚓children of Gilead the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near and ⚓spoke before Moses and before the leaders, the chief fathers of the children of Israel.
2And they said: ⚓“The Lord commanded my lord Moses to give the land as an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel, and ⚓my lord was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.
3Now if they are married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then their inheritance will be ⚓taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and it will be added to the inheritance of the tribe into which they marry; so it will be taken from the lot of our inheritance.
4And when ⚓the Jubilee of the children of Israel comes, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe into which they marry; so their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.”
5Then Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the Lord, saying: ⚓“What the tribe of the sons of Joseph speaks is right.
6This is what the Lord commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, ‘Let them marry whom they think best, ⚓but they may marry only within the family of their father’s tribe.’
7So the inheritance of the children of Israel shall not change hands from tribe to tribe, for every one of the children of Israel shall ⚓keep the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
8And ⚓every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel shall be the wife of one of the family of her father’s tribe, so that the children of Israel each may possess the inheritance of his fathers.
9Thus no inheritance shall change hands from one tribe to another, but every tribe of the children of Israel shall keep its own inheritance.”
10Just as the Lord commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad;
11⚓for Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married to the sons of their father’s brothers.
12They were married into the families of the children of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of their father’s family.
13These are the commandments and the judgments which the Lord commanded the children of Israel by the hand of Moses ⚓in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho.

3Ƀiădah tơdah diñu dôk ung hŏng sa čô êkei hlăm găp djuê mkăn hlăm phung ƀuôn sang Israel, ngăn dưn diñu arăng srăng mă mơ̆ng ngăn dưn phung ama hmei, leh anăn lŏ thiăm kơ ngăn dưn găp djuê ung phung mniê anăn. Snăn arăng srăng mă dŏ anăn mơ̆ng kdrêč ngăn dưn hmei.
4Leh anăn tơdah truh thŭn Jubili kơ phung ƀuôn sang Israel, hlăk anăn ngăn dưn diñu srăng lŏ thiăm kơ ngăn dưn găp djuê ung phung mniê anăn, leh anăn ngăn dưn diñu arăng srăng mă mơ̆ng ngăn dưn găp djuê phung ama hmei.”
5Y-Môis mtă leh kơ phung ƀuôn sang Israel tui si klei Yêhôwa blŭ, lač, “Găp djuê phung anak êkei Yôsep mâo klei găl.
6Anei jing klei Yêhôwa mtă djŏ kơ phung anak mniê Y-Sêlôpêhat, ‘Brei diñu dôk ung hlei pô diñu čiăng; knŏng diñu dưi dôk ung hlăm găp djuê ama diñu.
7Ngăn dưn phung ƀuôn sang Israel arăng amâo dưi jao mơ̆ng sa găp djuê kơ sa găp djuê mkăn ôh; kyuadah grăp čô phung ƀuôn sang Israel srăng dôk hlăm anôk ngăn dưn găp djuê ama ñu.
8Grăp čô anak mniê pô mâo sa ngăn dưn hlăm sa găp djuê phung ƀuôn sang Israel srăng jing mô̆ kơ sa čô mơ̆ng sa boh gŏ hlăm găp djuê ama ñu, čiăng kơ grăp čô phung ƀuôn sang Israel dưi mâo ngăn dưn ama ñu.
9Snăn ngăn dưn arăng amâo dưi jao ôh mơ̆ng sa găp djuê kơ sa găp djuê mkăn; kyuadah grăp găp djuê phung ƀuôn sang Israel srăng dôk hlăm anôk ngăn dưn diñu pô.’ ”

11kyuadah H'Mahla, H'Tirsa, H'Hôgla, H'Milka, leh anăn H'Nôa, phung anak mniê Y-Sêlôpêhat, dôk ung leh hŏng phung anak êkei ayŏng adei ama diñu.
12Diñu dôk ung hŏng phung găp djuê phung anak čô Y-Manasê anak êkei Y-Yôsep, leh anăn ngăn dưn diñu ăt dôk hlăm găp djuê ama diñu.
13Anăn jing klei mtă leh anăn klei bhiăn Yêhôwa brei kơ phung ƀuôn sang Israel hŏng Y-Môis hlăm lăn dap čar Môap giăm êa krông Yurdan phă anăp hŏng ƀuôn Yêrikô.
