Hai Loa Bằng Bạc

¹CHÚA phán bảo Môi-se: ²“Con hãy làm hai cái loa bằng bạc đánh dát, để dùng triệu tập nhân dân nhóm họp và để truyền lệnh nhổ trại ra đi. ³Khi thổi cả hai loa, toàn dân sẽ tập họp trước mặt con tại cửa Trại Hội Kiến. ⁴Nếu có một loa thổi lên thì các nhà lãnh đạo tức các trưởng chi tộc Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ họp trước mặt con. ⁵Khi có tiếng loa thổi vang thì các trại quân phía đông phải ra đi. ⁶Khi nghe thổi tiếng vang lần thứ nhì thì các trại quân phía nam phải ra đi; khi nào muốn các trại quân ra đi thì phải thổi loa vang. ⁷Khi triệu tập nhân dân cũng dùng loa thổi nhưng đừng thổi tiếng vang.
⁸Các con trai A-rôn, tức các thầy tế lễ, sẽ thổi các loa ấy. Đó là một lệ định đời đời cho các người từ đời nầy qua đời kia. ⁹Khi các ngươi xuất quân ra trận từ quê hương đất nước chống trả địch quân đang áp bức mình thì phải thổi loa vang. Khi ấy, CHÚA, Đức Chúa Trời các ngươi sẽ nhớ lại ngươi và giải cứu ngươi khỏi quân thù nghịch. ¹⁰Khi con gặp lúc hân hoan như các lễ định kỳ, lễ trăng mới thì phải thổi loa khi dâng tế lễ thiêu và tế lễ cầu an. Loa sẽ được dùng làm kỷ niệm trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời. Ta là CHÚA, Đức Chúa Trời các ngươi.”

Thời Kỳ Kiều Ngụ Trong Sa Mạc

¹¹Ngày hai mươi mốt tháng hai năm thứ nhì, trụ mây cất lên khỏi Đền Tạm Chứng Cớ. ¹²Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên nhổ trại, khởi đầu cuộc hành trình từ sa mạc Si-nai và trụ mây dừng lại trong sa mạc Pha-ran. ¹³Đây là lần đầu họ ra đi theo lệnh CHÚA truyền cho Môi-se.
¹⁴Ngọn cờ của trại quân Giu-đa đi trước, kéo đi từng đơn vị. Na-ha-sôn, con A-mi-na-đáp, chỉ huy quân đội Giu-đa. ¹⁵Na-tha-na-ên, con Xu-a, chỉ huy các đơn vị quân đội Y-sa-ca. ¹⁶Ê-li-áp, con Hê-long, chỉ huy các đơn vị quân đội Sa-bu-luân. ¹⁷Lúc ấy Đền Tạm được dỡ xuống, dòng họ Ghẹt-sôn và dòng họ Mê-ra-ri khuân vác Đền Tạm ra đi.
¹⁸Kế đến là các đơn vị quân đội của Ru-bên ra đi dưới ngọn cờ mình. Ê-lít-su, con Sê-đêu, chỉ huy quân đội Ru-bên. ¹⁹Sê-lu-miên, con Xu-ri-ha-đai, chỉ huy các đơn vị quân đội Si-mê-ôn. ²⁰Ê-li-a-sáp, con Đê-u-ên, chỉ huy các đơn vị quân đội Gát. ²¹Lúc ấy người Kê-hát ra đi, khuân vác các vật thánh. Đền Tạm phải được dựng lên xong xuôi trước khi họ đến nơi.
²²Kế đó, các đơn vị quân đội Ép-ra-im ra đi dưới ngọn cờ mình. Ê-li-ma-sa, con A-mi-hút, chỉ huy quân đội Ép-ra-im. ²³Ga-ma-liên, con Phê-đát-su, chỉ huy các đơn vị quân đội Ma-na-se. ²⁴A-bi-đan, con Ghi-đeo-ni, chỉ huy các đơn vị quân đội Bên-gia-min.
²⁵Sau hết, đi hậu tập là các đơn vị quân đội Đan: họ ra đi dưới ngọn cờ mình. A-hi-ê-xe, con Am-mi-sa-đai, chỉ huy quân đội Đan. ²⁶Pha-ghi-ên, con Óc-ran, chỉ huy các đơn vị quân đội A-se. ²⁷A-hi-ra, con Ê-nan, chỉ huy các đơn vị quân đội Nép-ta-li. ²⁸Đó là thứ tự hành quân của các đội quân Y-sơ-ra-ên.
²⁹Môi-se bảo Hô-bát, con Rê-u-ên người Ma-đi-an, tức anh vợ mình: “Chúng tôi đang đi đến xứ mà CHÚA đã phán hứa: Ta sẽ ban xứ ấy cho các ngươi. Anh hãy đi với chúng tôi thì chúng tôi sẽ biệt đãi anh vì CHÚA đã hứa những điều tốt lành cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên.”
³⁰Người ấy đáp: “Không, tôi không đi đâu. Tôi sẽ về quê hương đất nước tôi với dân tộc tôi.”
³¹Nhưng Môi-se yêu cầu: “Xin anh đừng lìa bỏ chúng tôi. Anh biết nơi nào chúng tôi phải cắm trại giữa sa mạc nên anh là con mắt của chúng tôi. ³²Chúng tôi sẽ chia với anh những điều tốt lành CHÚA ban cho chúng tôi.”
³³Vậy, họ từ núi của CHÚA ra đi suốt ba ngày. Rương Giao Ước của CHÚA đi trước họ trong ba ngày đó để tìm cho họ một nơi an nghỉ. ³⁴Khi họ dời trại ra đi, trụ mây của CHÚA ở trên họ ban ngày.
³⁵Mỗi khi Rương Giao Ước ra đi, Môi-se nói:
“Lạy CHÚA, xin hãy chổi dậy!
Nguyện quân thù Chúa bị đánh tan;
Nguyện bọn cừu địch chạy trốn trước mặt Ngài.”
³⁶Mỗi khi Rương Giao Ước dừng lại, Môi-se lại cầu nguyện:
“Lạy CHÚA, xin Ngài hãy trở lại,
Cùng muôn ngàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên!”

The Silver Trumpets

¹The Lord said to Moses: ²“Make two trumpets of hammered silver, and use them for calling the community together and for having the camps set out. ³When both are sounded, the whole community is to assemble before you at the entrance to the tent of meeting. ⁴If only one is sounded, the leaders—the heads of the clans of Israel—are to assemble before you. ⁵When a trumpet blast is sounded, the tribes camping on the east are to set out. ⁶At the sounding of a second blast, the camps on the south are to set out. The blast will be the signal for setting out. ⁷To gather the assembly, blow the trumpets, but not with the signal for setting out.
⁸“The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to blow the trumpets. This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come. ⁹When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the Lord your God and rescued from your enemies. ¹⁰Also at your times of rejoicing—your appointed festivals and New Moon feasts—you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the Lord your God.”

The Israelites Leave Sinai

¹¹On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle of the covenant law. ¹²Then the Israelites set out from the Desert of Sinai and traveled from place to place until the cloud came to rest in the Desert of Paran. ¹³They set out, this first time, at the Lord’s command through Moses.
¹⁴The divisions of the camp of Judah went first, under their standard. Nahshon son of Amminadab was in command. ¹⁵Nethanel son of Zuar was over the division of the tribe of Issachar, ¹⁶and Eliab son of Helon was over the division of the tribe of Zebulun. ¹⁷Then the tabernacle was taken down, and the Gershonites and Merarites, who carried it, set out.
¹⁸The divisions of the camp of Reuben went next, under their standard. Elizur son of Shedeur was in command. ¹⁹Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai was over the division of the tribe of Simeon, ²⁰and Eliasaph son of Deuel was over the division of the tribe of Gad. ²¹Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy things. The tabernacle was to be set up before they arrived.
²²The divisions of the camp of Ephraim went next, under their standard. Elishama son of Ammihud was in command. ²³Gamaliel son of Pedahzur was over the division of the tribe of Manasseh, ²⁴and Abidan son of Gideoni was over the division of the tribe of Benjamin.
²⁵Finally, as the rear guard for all the units, the divisions of the camp of Dan set out under their standard. Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai was in command. ²⁶Pagiel son of Okran was over the division of the tribe of Asher, ²⁷and Ahira son of Enan was over the division of the tribe of Naphtali. ²⁸This was the order of march for the Israelite divisions as they set out.
²⁹Now Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are setting out for the place about which the Lord said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us and we will treat you well, for the Lord has promised good things to Israel.”
³⁰He answered, “No, I will not go; I am going back to my own land and my own people.”
³¹But Moses said, “Please do not leave us. You know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes. ³²If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the Lord gives us.”
³³So they set out from the mountain of the Lord and traveled for three days. The ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them during those three days to find them a place to rest. ³⁴The cloud of the Lord was over them by day when they set out from the camp.
³⁵Whenever the ark set out, Moses said,
“Rise up, Lord!
May your enemies be scattered;
may your foes flee before you.”
³⁶Whenever it came to rest, he said,
“Return, Lord,
to the countless thousands of Israel.”
