  1心中的籌謀在乎人，
  舌頭的應對出於耶和華。
   2人一切所行的，在自己眼中看為純潔，
  惟有耶和華衡量人的內心。
   3你所做的，要交託耶和華，
  你所謀的，就必堅立。
   4耶和華造萬物各適其用，
  就是惡人也為禍患的日子所造。
   5凡心裏驕傲的，為耶和華所憎惡；
  擊掌保證，他難免受罰。
   6因慈愛和信實，罪孽得贖；
  敬畏耶和華的，遠離惡事。
   7人所行的若蒙耶和華喜悅，
  耶和華也使仇敵與他和好。
   8少獲利，行事公義，
  強如多獲利，行事不義。
   9人心籌算自己的道路；
  惟耶和華指引他的腳步。
   10王的嘴唇有聖言，
  審判之時，他的口必不差錯。
   11公道的秤和天平屬耶和華，
  囊中一切的法碼是他所定。
   12作惡，為王所憎惡，
  因國位是靠公義堅立。
   13公義的嘴唇，王喜悅，
  說正直話的，他喜愛。
   14王的震怒是死亡的使者，
  但智慧人能平息王怒。
   15王臉上的光使人有生命，
  他的恩惠好像雲帶來的春雨。
   16得智慧勝過得金子，
  選聰明強如選銀子。
   17正直人的道遠離惡事，
  謹守己路的，保全性命。
   18驕傲在敗壞以先，
  內心高傲在跌倒之前。
   19心裏謙卑與困苦人來往，
  強如與驕傲人同分戰利品。
   20留心訓言的⚓，必得福樂；
  倚靠耶和華的，這人有福。
   21心中有智慧的，必稱為聰明人；
  嘴唇的甜言，增長人的學問。
   22人有智慧就有生命的泉源；
  愚妄人必受愚妄的懲戒。
   23智慧人的心使他的口謹慎，
  又使他的嘴唇增長學問。
   24良言如同蜂巢，
  使心甘甜，使骨得醫治。
   25有一條路，人以為正，
  至終卻成為死亡之路。
   26勞力的人為自己勞力，
  因為他的口腹催逼他。
   27匪徒圖謀奸惡，
  嘴唇上的言語彷彿燒焦的火。

   28乖謬的人散播紛爭，
  造謠的離間密友。
   29殘暴的人引誘鄰舍，
  領他走不好的道路。
   30緊閉雙目的，圖謀乖謬；
  緊咬嘴唇的，成就惡事。
   31白髮是榮耀的冠冕，
  行在公義道上的，必能得着。
   32不輕易發怒的，勝過勇士；
  控制自己脾氣的，強如取城。
   33人雖可擲籤在膝上，
  定事卻由耶和華。

  1The ⚓preparations of the heart belong to man,
   ⚓But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
   2All the ways of a man are pure in his own ⚓eyes,
   But the Lord weighs the spirits.
   3⚓Commit your works to the Lord,
   And your thoughts will be established.
   4The ⚓Lord has made all for Himself,
   ⚓Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom.
   5⚓Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord;
   Though they join forces, none will go unpunished.
   6⚓In mercy and truth
   Atonement is provided for iniquity;
   And ⚓by the fear of the Lordone departs from evil.
   7When a man’s ways please the Lord,
   He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
   8⚓Better is a little with righteousness,
   Than vast revenues without justice.
   9⚓A man’s heart plans his way,
   ⚓But the Lord directs his steps.
   10Divination is on the lips of the king;
   His mouth must not transgress in judgment.
    11⚓Honest weights and scales are the Lord’s;
   All the weights in the bag are His work.
    12It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness,
   For ⚓a throne is established by righteousness.
    13⚓Righteous lips are the delight of kings,
   And they love him who speaks what is right.
    14As messengers of death is the king’s wrath,
   But a wise man will ⚓appease it.
    15In the light of the king’s face is life,
   And his favor is like a ⚓cloud of the latter rain.
   16⚓How much better to get wisdom than gold!
   And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
   17The highway of the upright is to depart from evil;
   He who keeps his way preserves his soul.
   18Pride goes before destruction,
   And a haughty spirit before a fall.
    19Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly,
   Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
   20He who heeds the word wisely will find good,
   And whoever ⚓trusts in the Lord, happy is he.
   21The wise in heart will be called prudent,
   And sweetness of the lips increases learning.
   22Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it.
   But the correction of fools is folly.
   23The heart of the wise teaches his mouth,
   And adds learning to his lips.
   24Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
   Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
   25There is a way that seems right to a man,
   But its end is the way of ⚓death.
   26The person who labors, labors for himself,
   For his hungry mouth drives ⚓him on.
   27An ungodly man digs up evil,
   And it is on his lips like a burning ⚓fire.
    28A perverse man sows strife,
   And ⚓a whisperer separates the best of friends.
    29A violent man entices his neighbor,
   And leads him in a way that is not good.
    30He winks his eye to devise perverse things;
   He purses his lips and brings about evil.
   31⚓The silver-haired head is a crown of glory,
   If it is found in the way of righteousness.
   32⚓He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
   And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
   33The lot is cast into the lap,
   But its every decision is from the Lord.
