Haman Chuaq Ngê Ễ Cachĩt Tỗp Cũai Yuda
1Toâq máh ranáq ki khoiq moâm chơ, puo Sê-sêt achỗn chớc yỗn Haman cỡt sốt toâr clữi nheq tễ cũai sốt canŏ́h. Haman la con samiang Hamê-datha, tŏ́ng toiq tỗp Acac.
2Puo atỡng nheq tữh cũai sốt yỗn alới sacốh racớl pũp crap cucốh Haman. Chơ dũ náq cũai táq puai ngkíq. Ma bữn ống muoi noaq Mô-dacai sâng tỡ bữn táq puai santoiq ki.
3Ngkíq cũai sốt canŏ́h toâq blớh Mô-dacai neq: “Nŏ́q mới tỡ bữn tamứng santoiq puo atỡng?”
4Dũ rangái alới ki toâq radững níc án yỗn trĩh parnai puo, ma án tỡ bữn pruam táq. Cớp án pai níc neq: “Cứq la cũai Yuda. Cứq tỡ têq cucốh Haman mŏ.”
Ngkíq alới pỡq atỡng yỗn Haman dáng tễ ranáq nâi, yoc ễ dáng Haman rơi chĩuq ma tỡ bữn tễ ranáq Mô-dacai táq ngkíq.
5Toâq Haman dáng tễ Mô-dacai tỡ ễq cucốh yám noap án, ngkíq án sâng cutâu lứq tâng mứt án.
6Cớp toâq án dáng tễ Mô-dacai la cũai Yuda, ki án tỡ bữn sâng ũan noâng ống Mô-dacai sâng, ma án ũan cớp nheq tữh cũai Yuda. Cớp án chuaq ngê yoc ễ cachĩt nheq tữh cũai Yuda tâng dũ ntốq chũop cruang Pơ-sia.
7Tâng casâi muoi (casâi Ni-san), cumo muoi chít la bar puo Sê-sêt cỡt puo, Haman ớn noau ĩt crơng noau dốq séng. (Crơng ki noau amứh ‘purim’.) Án chuaq tangái casâi o ễ cachĩt máh cũai Yuda. Chơ raclũoq pĩeiq tâng tangái muoi chít la pái, casâi muoi chít la bar (casâi Adar).
8Chơ Haman atỡng puo neq: “Bữn muoi tỗp cũai ca ỡt pláh dũ ntốq tâng cruang puo cỡt sốt. Rit alới sang la mpha tễ cũai canŏ́h sang. Ma clữi tễ nâi ễn, tỗp alới tỡ bữn yám noap phễp rit puo hỡ. Ngkíq tỡ bữn cỡt kia ntrớu yỗn puo ót níc cớp tỗp nâi.
9Cucốh puo ơi! Khân anhia sâng bũi, ki sễq anhia aloŏh parnai ớn yỗn noau cachĩt chíq tỗp cũai nâi. Khân anhia pruam táq máh hếq pai nâi, ki hếq ễ chiau práq ntâng 340,000 ki-lô amut tâng hỗp parỗm práq puo, khễ ĩt yỗn cóng cũai táq ranáq nâi yỗn puo.”
10Chơ puo pũot aloŏh sambễt tễ ndễm atĩ án, chơ avơi yỗn Haman con samiang Hamê-datha, tŏ́ng toiq Acac, án kêt lứq cũai Yuda. Sambễt ki, án dốq catếh táq tếc chớc puo.
11Puo Sê-sêt pai cớp Haman neq: “Máh cũai ki cớp práq yễng alới la cỡt khong mới. Cớp tam mới sâng yoc ễ táq ntrớu chóq alới, la mới tíng táq.”
12Tâng tangái muoi chít la pái, casâi muoi, Haman arô nheq tữh cũai dốq chĩc saráq yỗn puo. Chơ án ớn alới chĩc máh santoiq án atỡng yỗn dũ cruang puo Sê-sêt ndỡm. Alới chĩc parlong tâng dũ parnai cớp dũ thữ chữq noau chĩc tâng máh cruang. Cớp án yỗn dũ náq cũai sốt, cũai ayững atĩ, cớp máh tỗp arieih dáng parnai tâng choâiq nâi bữn ramứh puo Sê-sêt cớp catếh táq tếc chóq sambễt án.
13Noau ớn cũai asuoi choâiq nâi pỡ dũ cruang puo Sê-sêt ndỡm. Tâng choâiq nâi chĩc pau neq: “Tâng tangái muoi chít la pái, casâi muoi chít la bar (casâi Adar), cóq cachĩt chíq cũai Yuda dũ náq cũai póng tỡ la cũai thâu, carnễn tỡ la carsai, tỡ têq khlâiq aléq noâng. Cớp cóq ĩt nheq máh crơng crớu alới.”
14Ŏ́c pau ki cỡt pláh dũ cruang cũai yỗn dũ náq cũai thrũan dŏq tangái ki ễ toâq.
15Máh cũai ca asuoi parnai pau ki, alới pỡq atỡng nhũang lứq tâng vil Susa. Puo Sê-sêt cớp Haman ỡt nguaiq cha bũi óh lứq, ma máh cũai tâng vil Susa ki, alới sâng dớt lứq tễ ranáq nâi.

Haman’s Plot to Destroy the Jews
1After these events, King Xerxes honored Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, elevating him and giving him a seat of honor higher than that of all the other nobles.
2All the royal officials at the king’s gate knelt down and paid honor to Haman, for the king had commanded this concerning him. But Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor.
3Then the royal officials at the king’s gate asked Mordecai, “Why do you disobey the king’s command?”
4Day after day they spoke to him but he refused to comply. Therefore they told Haman about it to see whether Mordecai’s behavior would be tolerated, for he had told them he was a Jew.
5When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor, he was enraged.
6Yet having learned who Mordecai’s people were, he scorned the idea of killing only Mordecai. Instead Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.
7In the twelfth year of King Xerxes, in the first month, the month of Nisan, the pur (that is, the lot) was cast in the presence of Haman to select a day and month. And the lot fell on⚓ the twelfth month, the month of Adar.
8Then Haman said to King Xerxes, “There is a certain people dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom who keep themselves separate. Their customs are different from those of all other people, and they do not obey the king’s laws; it is not in the king’s best interest to tolerate them.
9If it pleases the king, let a decree be issued to destroy them, and I will give ten thousand talents⚓ of silver to the king’s administrators for the royal treasury.”
10So the king took his signet ring from his finger and gave it to Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews.
11“Keep the money,” the king said to Haman, “and do with the people as you please.”
12Then on the thirteenth day of the first month the royal secretaries were summoned. They wrote out in the script of each province and in the language of each people all Haman’s orders to the king’s satraps, the governors of the various provinces and the nobles of the various peoples. These were written in the name of King Xerxes himself and sealed with his own ring.
13Dispatches were sent by couriers to all the king’s provinces with the order to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews—young and old, women and children—on a single day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar, and to plunder their goods.
14A copy of the text of the edict was to be issued as law in every province and made known to the people of every nationality so they would be ready for that day.
15The couriers went out, spurred on by the king’s command, and the edict was issued in the citadel of Susa. The king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Susa was bewildered.
