Chúa là Đấng cứu, các thần tượng
đều vô ích
1Hãy ca ngợi Chúa!
Hãy ca ngợi danh Chúa;
Hỡi các tôi tớ Chúa và
2những kẻ đứng trong đền thờ Chúa
cùng trong sân đền thờ,
hãy ca ngợi Ngài.
3Hãy ca ngợi Ngài,
vì Ngài nhân từ;
hãy hát ca ngợi Ngài vì Ngài tuyệt vời.
4Chúa đã chọn dân Gia-cốp cho mình;
Ngài tuyển chọn dân Ít-ra-en cho chính mình.
5Tôi biết Chúa là Đấng cao cả.
Chúa chúng tôi vĩ đại cao cả hơn tất cả các thần.
6Ngài làm điều đẹp ý Ngài,
ở trên trời và dưới đất,
trên biển và trong các đại dương sâu.
7Ngài mang mây đến từ cuối trái đất,
Sai sấm chớp đến với mưa.
Mang gió ra từ các kho chứa mình.
8Ngài tiêu diệt các con trai đầu lòng xứ Ai-cập của người lẫn gia súc.
9Ngài làm nhiều dấu kỳ và phép lạ ở Ai-cập nghịch lại vua và các tôi tớ người.
10Ngài đánh bại các quốc gia và giết các vua hùng mạnh:
11Tức Si-hôn,
vua dân A-mô-rít,
Óc, vua của Ba-san,
và tất cả các vua Ca-na-an.
12Rồi Ngài ban đất của họ làm món quà cho dân Ngài, tức dân Ít-ra-en.
13Lạy Chúa, danh Chúa còn đến đời đời;
Lạy Chúa, Ngài sẽ được ghi nhớ mãi mãi.
14Chúa bênh vực dân Ngài
và tỏ lòng thương xót cho các tôi tớ Ngài.
15Hình tượng của các dân đều làm bằng bạc hay vàng,
sản phẩm của tay người.
16Chúng nó có miệng mà không nói được.
Có mắt mà chẳng thấy.
17Có lỗ tai mà không nghe.
Miệng không hơi thở.
18Những kẻ tạc hình tượng cũng giống như các hình tượng ấy,
những ai tin chúng nó cũng như vậy.
19Hỡi nhà Ít-ra-en,
hãy ca ngợi Chúa.
Hỡi nhà A-rôn, hãy ca ngợi Chúa.
20Hỡi nhà Lê-vi hãy ca ngợi Chúa.
Những ai kính sợ Chúa
hãy ca ngợi Ngài.
21Hỡi cư dân Giê-ru-sa-lem,
hãy ca ngợi Chúa trên núi Xi-ôn.

1Praise the Lord!
Praise the name of the Lord;
⚓Praise Him, O you servants of the Lord!
2⚓You who stand in the house of the Lord,
In ⚓the courts of the house of our God,
3Praise the Lord, for ⚓the Lordis good;
Sing praises to His name, ⚓for it is pleasant.
4For ⚓the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself,
Israel for His special treasure.
5For I know that ⚓the Lordis great,
And our Lord is above all gods.
6⚓Whatever the Lord pleases He does,
In heaven and in earth,
In the seas and in all deep places.
7⚓He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;
⚓He makes lightning for the rain;
He brings the wind out of His ⚓treasuries.
8⚓He destroyed the firstborn of Egypt,
Both of man and beast.
9⚓He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt,
⚓Upon Pharaoh and all his servants.
10⚓He defeated many nations
And slew mighty kings—
11Sihon king of the Amorites,
Og king of Bashan,
And ⚓all the kingdoms of Canaan—
12⚓And gave their land as a heritage,
A heritage to Israel His people.
13⚓Your name, O Lord, endures forever,
Your fame, O Lord, throughout all generations.
14⚓For the Lord will judge His people,
And He will have compassion on His servants.
15⚓The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
The work of men’s hands.
16They have mouths, but they do not speak;
Eyes they have, but they do not see;
17They have ears, but they do not hear;
Nor is there any breath in their mouths.
18Those who make them are like them;
So is everyone who trusts in them.
19⚓Bless the Lord, O house of Israel!
Bless the Lord, O house of Aaron!
20Bless the Lord, O house of Levi!
You who fear the Lord, bless the Lord!
21Blessed be the Lord⚓out of Zion,
Who dwells in Jerusalem!
