Yiang Satan Chim Ŏ́c Sa‑âm Yop

¹Ỡt tâng cruang cutễq Usơ⚓ bữn muoi noaq samiang, ramứh Yop. Án sang toam Yiang Sursĩ tanoang tapứng. Án la cũai o, cớp án viaq níc tễ máh ranáq sâuq. ²Án bữn con samiang tapul náq, con mansễm pái náq, ³dếh bữn charán cữu tapul ngin lám, lac‑da pái ngin lám, ntroŏq muoi ngin lám, cớp aséh dễn sỡng culám lám. Án bữn cũai táq ranáq yỗn án clứng lứq; cớp án cỡt cũai sốc clữi nheq tễ cũai canŏ́h ca ỡt yoah angia mandang loŏh.
⁴Máh con samiang Yop dốq rapĩen níc táq pêl cha bũi tâng dống alới. Con samiang án dốq mơi pái náq amuaq alới toâq rôm cha bũi parnơi cớp alới tê. ⁵Poang tarưp, toâq vớt tangái alới cha bũi, Yop dốq tamỡ tễ cláih, cớp bốh crơng chiau sang dŏq sambráh máh con án tễ ranáq lôih. Án táq ngkíq níc, yuaq án chanchớm neq: “Cŏh lơ bữn muoi noaq tễ tỗp con cứq lơ táq lôih na mumat Yiang Sursĩ.”
⁶Ma bữn muoi tangái máh ranễng Yiang Sursĩ tâng paloŏng mut tayứng yáng moat Yiang Sursĩ. Cớp bữn Satan⚓ mut ỡt tâng mpứng dĩ tỗp alới tê. ⁷Yiang Sursĩ blớh Satan neq: “Mới chu tễ léq?”
Satan ta‑ỡi: “Cứq pỡq chu nâi chu ki, pỡq chũop nheq cốc cutễq.”
⁸Yiang Sursĩ blớh án neq: “Mới hữm Yop, la cũai táq ranáq cứq, tỡ? Chũop cốc cutễq tỡ bữn noau ma tanoang tapứng li án. Án sang toam cứq, cớp viaq níc tễ máh ranáq sâuq.”
⁹Satan ta‑ỡi: “Khân Yop ŏ́q ntrớu tháng, án noâng ễ sang toam anhia tỡ? ¹⁰Anhia khoiq bán curiaq níc án, dếh dống sũ cớp dũ ramứh án ndỡm. Anhia khoiq satốh ŏ́c bốn puan yỗn dũ ranáq án táq, cớp táq yỗn án bữn mun cớp charán poân cruang cutễq. ¹¹Ma khân anhia ĩt loah nheq dũ ramứh án bữn, ki án lứq pupap anhia bo ki toâp!”
¹²Yiang Sursĩ pai chóq Satan neq: “Âu! Dũ ramứh án bữn cứq chiau tâng talang atĩ mới; ma mới chỗi táq bớc chũl ntrớu án.”

Máh Con Cớp Mun Yop Cỡt Ralốh Nheq

¹³Bữn muoi tangái máh con mansễm con samiang Yop ntôm tacu cha cớp nguaiq bũi pỡ dống ai clúng alới. ¹⁴Ma bữn manoaq lúh toâq atỡng Yop neq: “Bo hếq dững ntroŏq cái nia, cớp bữn aséh dễn ỡt cha bát cheq ki, ¹⁵ma bo ki toâp bữn cũai Sê-ba⚓ mut chíl, cớp alới ĩt nheq charán anhia. Tỗp alới cachĩt nheq cũai táq ranáq anhia. Noâng ống manoaq cứq toâp vớt cuchĩt; chơ cứq lúh chu atỡng anhia!”
¹⁶Bo án pai tỡ yũah sốt parnai, bữn muoi noaq ễn cũai táq ranáq án toâq cớp pai neq: “Toaih háq nheq charán cữu cớp cũai bán cữu anhia. Noâng ống manoaq cứq toâp vớt cuchĩt; chơ cứq lúh chu atỡng anhia!”
¹⁷Ma cũai ki pai tỡ yũah sốt parnai tê, chơ bữn muoi noaq ễn cũai táq ranáq án toâq cớp atỡng neq: “Bữn pái tỗp tễ cũai Caldê⚓ dốq pũr, alới toâq chíl tỗp hếq. Tỗp alới khoiq cheng ĩt nheq charán lac‑da, cớp cachĩt nheq cũai táq ranáq anhia. Noâng ống manoaq cứq toâp vớt cuchĩt; chơ cứq lúh chu atỡng anhia!”
¹⁸Ma án pai tỡ yũah sốt parnai, chơ bữn muoi noaq ễn cũai táq ranáq án toâq cớp atỡng neq: “Máh con samiang mansễm anhia ntôm ỡt cha bũi pỡ dống ai clúng alới; ¹⁹ma bo ki toâp bữn cuyal avêng hâp lứq toâq tễ ntốq aiq. Cuyal nâi phát ploaq dống ki cỡt rúng ralốh nheq, cớp dống ki catât alới cuchĩt nheq. Noâng ống manoaq cứq toâp khlâiq; chơ cứq lúh chu atỡng anhia!”
²⁰Chơ yóiq toâp Yop yuor tayứng cớp háq nheq tampâc án tâc, cỗ án sâng ngua lứq. Án cũah nheq sóc tâng plỡ cớp sacốh racớl tâng cutễq, ²¹cớp pai neq: “Cứq loŏh tễ púng mpiq cứq la ống tỗ miat; cớp nỡ‑ra cứq cóq loŏh tễ cốc cutễq nâi ống tỗ miat tê. Yiang Sursĩ khoiq yỗn cứq bữn dũ ramứh; ma sanua án ĩt loah. Sễq yỗn máh cũai khễn cớp khễn sa‑ữn ramứh án tái-mantái.”

Job and His Family in Uz

¹There was a man ⚓in the land of Uz, whose name was⚓Job; and that man was ⚓blameless and upright, and one who ⚓feared God and shunned evil. ²And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. ³Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.
⁴And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. ⁵So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning ⚓and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and ⚓cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

Satan Attacks Job’s Character

⁶Now ⚓there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. ⁷And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From ⚓going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
⁸Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
⁹So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? ¹⁰⚓Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? ⚓You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. ¹¹⚓But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely ⚓curse You to Your face!”
¹²And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”
So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Job Loses His Property and Children

¹³Now there was a day ⚓when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house; ¹⁴and a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them, ¹⁵when the Sabeans raided them and took them away—indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”
¹⁶While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”
¹⁷While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”
¹⁸While he was still speaking, another also came and said, ⚓“Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, ¹⁹and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”
²⁰Then Job arose, ⚓tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he ⚓fell to the ground and worshiped. ²¹And he said:
⚓“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord⚓gave, and the Lord has ⚓taken away;
⚓Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
²²⚓In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.
