和平的國度

¹從耶西的殘幹必長出嫩枝，
他的根所抽的枝子必結果實。
²耶和華的靈必住在他身上，
就是智慧和聰明的靈，
謀略和能力的靈，
知識和敬畏耶和華的靈。
³他必以敬畏耶和華為樂；
行審判不憑眼見，
斷是非也不憑耳聞；
⁴卻要以公義審判貧寒人，
以正直判斷地上的困苦人，
以口中的棍擊打全地，
以嘴裏的氣殺戮惡人。
⁵公義必當他的腰帶，
信實必作他脅下的帶子。

⁶野狼必與小綿羊同住，
豹子與小山羊同臥；
少壯獅子、牛犢和肥畜同羣⚓；
孩童要牽引牠們。
⁷牛必與熊同食，
牛犢與小熊同臥；
獅子與牛一樣吃草。
⁸吃奶的嬰孩在虺蛇的洞口玩耍，
斷奶的幼兒必按手在毒蛇的穴上。
⁹在我聖山各處，
牠們都不傷人，不害物；
因為認識耶和華的知識要遍滿全地，
好像水充滿海洋一般。

被擄的人歸回

¹⁰到那日，耶西的根立作萬民的大旗；列國的人必尋求他，他安歇之所大有榮耀。 ¹¹當那日，主必再度伸手救回自己百姓中所剩餘的，就是在亞述、埃及、巴特羅、古實⚓、以攔、示拿、哈馬，並眾海島所剩下的。
¹²他要向列國豎立大旗，
召集以色列被趕散的人，
又從地極四方聚集分散的猶大人。
¹³以法蓮的嫉妒必消散，
苦待猶大的也被剪除；
以法蓮必不嫉妒猶大，
猶大也不苦待以法蓮。
¹⁴他們要飛向西方，
撲在非利士人的肩頭上，
他們要一同擄掠東方人，
他們的手伸到以東和摩押；
亞捫人也必順服他們。
¹⁵耶和華必使埃及的海灣全然毀壞⚓，
他舉手在大河之上颳起了暴熱的風，
擊打它，使它分成七條溪流，
人穿鞋便可渡過。
¹⁶必有一條大道，
為百姓中從亞述逃脫生還的餘民而開，
如當日為以色列從埃及上來一樣。

The Reign of Jesse’s Offspring

¹There ⚓shall come forth a Rod from the stem of ⚓Jesse,
And ⚓a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
²⚓The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
³His delight is in the fear of the Lord,
And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,
Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
⁴But ⚓with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He shall ⚓strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
⁵Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,
And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
⁶“The⚓ wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little child shall lead them.
⁷The cow and the bear shall graze;
Their young ones shall lie down together;
And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
⁸The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole,
And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den.
⁹⚓They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,
For ⚓the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord
As the waters cover the sea.
¹⁰“And⚓ in that day ⚓there shall be a Root of Jesse,
Who shall stand as a ⚓banner to the people;
For the ⚓Gentiles shall seek Him,
And His resting place shall be glorious.”
¹¹It shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of His people who are left,
⚓From Assyria and Egypt,
From Pathros and Cush,
From Elam and Shinar,
From Hamath and the islands of the sea.
¹²He will set up a banner for the nations,
And will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together ⚓the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.
¹³Also ⚓the envy of Ephraim shall depart,
And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off;
Ephraim shall not envy Judah,
And Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
¹⁴But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west;
Together they shall plunder the people of the East;
⚓They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab;
And the people of Ammon shall obey them.
¹⁵The Lord⚓will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt;
With His mighty wind He will shake His fist over the River,
And strike it in the seven streams,
And make men cross over dry-shod.
¹⁶⚓There will be a highway for the remnant of His people
Who will be left from Assyria,
⚓As it was for Israel
In the day that he came up from the land of Egypt.
