2“Nhêng tíh! Dỡq ntôm clưn tễ coah angia pỡng, cớp hoi coar rêng lứq samoât crỗng lut nheq cruang ki, dếh máh vil cớp cũai proai tâng vil ki. Cũai proai hễr cu‑ỗi sễq yỗn noau rachuai; dũ náq cũai tâng cruang nâi nhiam nhit cỗ sâng túh ngua.
3Bo ki alới sâng sưong máh canchop aséh lúh cróp-cróp tháng tâng cutễq, cớp sưong sễ aséh rachíl parkeh, cớp carvang ayững kĩen tandữr rloâm-rlức tháng. Máh cũai mpoaq tỡ bữn luliaq nhêng noâng chu máh con alới, yuaq atĩ alới cỡt lamên nheq.
4Khoiq toâq ngư talốh cruang Phi-li-tin na catáng nheq vil Ti-rơ cớp vil Sadôn tỡ yỗn noau toâq rachuai. Cứq Yiang Sursĩ toâp ễ talốh cruang Phi-li-tin, la máh cũai khoiq dễq tễ cỗn Cap-tôr.⚓
5Vil Casa cỡt ngua parngeh, cớp vil At-calon la ỡt rangiac nheq. Noâng maléq dũn cũai Phi-li-tin canŏ́h ễ tanúh?⚓
6“Anhia arô neq: ‘Pla dau tễ Yiang Sursĩ ễ tráh noâng dũn maléq? Sễq Yiang Sursĩ ĩt pla dau chóq loah tâng sor, cớp yỗn dau ki ỡt loâng ngki!’
7Ma nŏ́q têq dau ki ỡt rangiac bo cứq Yiang Sursĩ ớn án tráh? Yuaq cứq khoiq ớn pla dau ki toâq chíl vil At-calon cớp máh vil mpễr dỡq mưt.”

A Message About the Philistines
1This is the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the Philistines before Pharaoh attacked Gaza:
2This is what the Lord says:
“See how the waters are rising in the north;
they will become an overflowing torrent.
They will overflow the land and everything in it,
the towns and those who live in them.
The people will cry out;
all who dwell in the land will wail
3at the sound of the hooves of galloping steeds,
at the noise of enemy chariots
and the rumble of their wheels.
Parents will not turn to help their children;
their hands will hang limp.
4For the day has come
to destroy all the Philistines
and to remove all survivors
who could help Tyre and Sidon.
The Lord is about to destroy the Philistines,
the remnant from the coasts of Caphtor.⚓
5Gaza will shave her head in mourning;
Ashkelon will be silenced.
You remnant on the plain,
how long will you cut yourselves?
6“ ‘Alas, sword of the Lord,
how long till you rest?
Return to your sheath;
cease and be still.’
7But how can it rest
when the Lord has commanded it,
when he has ordered it
to attack Ashkelon and the coast?”
