1Chúa tuyên bố: "Ta sẽ giáng họa trên các nhà lãnh đạo dân Ta các kẻ chăn bầy chiên Ta, vì họ đã làm tản lạc và tiêu diệt bầy chiên Ta giao cho họ chân giữ. 2Thay vì hướng dẫn dân Ta đến nơi an ninh, các ngươi đã bỏ họ và đẩy họ vào cảnh diệt vong. Này, Ta sẽ báo trả việc ác các ngươi đã làm cho họ. 3Ta sẽ tập họp các con chiên còn sống sót trong tất cả các xứ lưu đày và đem chúng về ràn chiên. Chúng sẽ sinh sôi nẩy nở đông đúc. 4Ta sẽ đặt những người chăn xứng đáng để dìu dắt dân Ta: chúng sẽ không còn sợ hãi hoặc bị khủng bố, cũng không còn ai bị mất tích nữa." 5Chúa phán: "Sắp đến thời kỳ Ta sẽ đặt một Người được gọi là 'Cành Công lý' trên ngai Đa-vít. Người sẽ trị vì cách khôn ngoan và đem công lý mà cầm cân nẩy mực cho cả thế giới. Người sẽ mang danh hiệu: 'Chúa là Công lý của chúng ta.' 6Dưới triều vua đó, Giu-đa sẽ được cứu và Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ hưởng thái bình an lạc. 7Lúc ấy, nhân dân không còn thề: "Thật như Chúa Hằng sống, là Đấng đã giải phóng dân Ta⚓ ra khỏi Ai-cập," 8nhưng sẽ thề: "Thật như Chúa Hằng sống, là Đấng đem dân Ta⚓ trở về quê cha đất tổ, từ những xứ lưu đày," Lúc ấy nhân dân sẽ an cư lạc nghiệp tại quê hương.
Các tiên tri giả
9Lòng tôi tan vỡ vì các tiên tri giả chuyên đi lừa bịp nhân dân. Tôi giật mình khiếp sợ, xây xẩm như người say rượu vì nghe thấy số phận kinh khiếp của họ. Chúa đã lên tiếng kết án họ đúng theo tiêu chuẩn thánh khiết của Ngài.⚓10Đất nước đầy dẫy những bọn tà dâm, ruộng vườn khô héo, các đồng cỏ xanh ở các vùng chăn nuôi đều cháy khô vì bị Chúa rủa sả. Các tiên tri làm điều ác và lạm dụng quyền hành. 11“Cả tiên tri lẫn các thầy tế lễ đều vô đạo; ngay khi họ vào Đền thờ Ta, Ta cũng bắt gặp những việc gian ác ấy," Chúa Hằng Hữu phán vậy. 12“Vì thế, con đường của họ thật trơn trợt và tối đen; họ sẽ bị rượt đuổi và ngã xuống trên con đường ấy vì đến thời kỳ⚓ đoán phạt, Ta sẽ giáng họa để báo trả tội ác của họ," Chúa phán vậy. 13Vẫn biết các tiên tri Sa-ma-ri thật gian ác: họ giảng đạo tà thần⚓ và kéo nhân dân vào con đường lầm lạc. 14Nhưng các tiên tri Giê-ru-sa-lem còn tệ hại hơn; họ phạm tội tà dâm và thích lừa gạt, dối trá, khuyến khích những kẻ làm ác thay vì kêu gọi họ ăn năn. Các tiên tri Do-thái đồi trụy như dân Sô-đôm và Gô-mo ngày xưa. 15Vì thế, Chúa Hằng Hữu Toàn năng phán về các tiên tri ấy: "Ta sẽ cho các tiên tri Giê-ru-sa-lem ăn ngải cứu và uống thuốc độc vì sự vô đạo bắt nguồn từ họ đã tràn lan khắp đất nước. 16Chúa bảo: "Đừng nghe lời các tiên tri ấy!⚓ Họ chỉ làm cho nhân dân hy vọng hão huyền; họ dám công bố khải tượng do họ bịa đặt, chứ không biết gì khải tượng của Chúa Hằng Hữu. 17Họ bảo những kẻ khinh lờn Ta: Chúa phán: 'Quý vị sẽ được bình an!' Họ trấn an những kẻ ngoan cố cứng lòng: 'Quý vị sẽ không bị hoạn nạn gì cả!' 18Ai đã tham dự hội đồng kế hoạch của Chúa và được nghe thấy Chúa phán dạy đều biết rõ. 19Chúa đang giáng một cơn bão dữ dội, một trận bão trốt để đập nát đâu kẻ ác. 20Cơn phẫn nộ của Chúa sẽ không nguôi cho đến khi Ngài thực hiện hoàn toàn ý định. Đến ngày cuối cùng, các ngươi sẽ hiểu tận tường. 21Ta không sai họ làm tiên tri, họ đã chạy. Ta chưa dặn bảo, họ đã nói tiên tri. 22Giá họ đã biết mưu định Ta và phản ánh trung thực lời Ta cho nhân dân, tất nhiên họ đã khiến nhân dân ăn năn, lìa bỏ con đường tội ác và việc gian tà."
Khải tượng và chiêm bao giả dối
23Ta có phải là Chân Thần ở gần mà không phải Chân Thần ở xa sao? 24Có ai ẩn trốn vào nơi nào bí mật đến nỗi Ta không tìm thấy được? Ta vẫn đầy dẫy cả trời đất, vũ trụ. 25Ta đã nghe lời các tiên tri giả. Họ trắng trợn lừa gạt nhân dân bằng cách nói tiên tri nhân danh Ta: 'Tôi thấy chiêm bao! Tôi được báo mộng! 26Họ sẽ còn bịp bợm đến bao giờ? Nếu gọi họ là "tiên tri," thì chỉ là 'tiên tri lừa gạt,' khéo bịa đặt những 'khải tượng' và 'sứ điệp.' 27Họ âm mưu làm cho nhân dân quên Ta như tổ phụ họ đã làm để chạy theo thần tượng.⚓28Cứ để các tiên tri giả thuật chuyện chiêm bao, nhưng ai có lời Ta, hãy truyền giảng lời Ta cách trung thực. Phải dứt khoát phân biệt chân giả.⚓29Chúa Hằng Hữu hỏi: Lời Ta chẳng giống như lửa thiêu đốt, như búa Ta đập tan vầng đá sao? 30Vì thế, Ta chống nghịch các tiên tri ăn cắp lẫn nhau lời Ta. 31Này, Ta chống nghịch các tiên tri uốn ba tấc lưỡi lừa gạt nhân dân rằng: "Chúa phán: 32Này, Ta chống nghịch các tiên tri trắng trợn rao giảng những chiêm bao giả dối để kéo dân Ta vào con đường lầm lạc, mặc dù Ta chẳng bao giờ sai họ hoặc ủy thác nhiêm vụ gì cho họ nên họ chẳng giúp ích gì cho nhân dân cả!" Chúa phán vậy.
Tin buồn của Chúa

The Branch of Righteousness
1“Woe ⚓to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the Lord. 2Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. ⚓Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,” says the Lord. 3“But ⚓I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. 4I will set up ⚓shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the Lord. 5“Behold, ⚓the days are coming,” says the Lord, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, ⚓And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 6⚓In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel ⚓will dwell safely; Now ⚓this is His name by which He will be called:
7“Therefore, behold, ⚓the days are coming,” says the Lord, “that they shall no longer say, ‘As the Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ 8but, ‘As the Lord lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the north country ⚓and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell in their own ⚓land.”
False Prophets and Empty Oracles
9My heart within me is broken Because of the prophets; ⚓All my bones shake. I am like a drunken man, And like a man whom wine has overcome, Because of the Lord, And because of His holy words. 10For ⚓the land is full of adulterers; For ⚓because of a curse the land mourns. ⚓The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up. Their course of life is evil, And their might is not right. 11“For ⚓both prophet and priest are profane; Yes, ⚓in My house I have found their wickedness,” says the Lord. 12“Therefore⚓ their way shall be to them Like slippery ways; In the darkness they shall be driven on And fall in them; For I ⚓will bring disaster on them, The year of their punishment,” says the Lord. 13“And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria: ⚓They prophesied by Baal And ⚓caused My people Israel to err. 14Also I have seen a horrible thing in the prophets of Jerusalem: ⚓They commit adultery and walk in lies; They also ⚓strengthen the hands of evildoers, So that no one turns back from his wickedness. All of them are like ⚓Sodom to Me, And her inhabitants like Gomorrah. 15“Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets: ‘Behold, I will feed them with ⚓wormwood, And make them drink the water of gall; For from the prophets of Jerusalem Profaneness has gone out into all the land.’ ” 16Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; ⚓They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the Lord. 17They continually say to those who despise Me, ‘The Lord has said, ⚓“You shall have peace” ’; And to everyone who ⚓walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, ⚓‘No evil shall come upon you.’ ” 18For ⚓who has stood in the counsel of the Lord, And has perceived and heard His word? Who has marked His word and heard it? 19Behold, a ⚓whirlwind of the Lord has gone forth in fury— A violent whirlwind! It will fall violently on the head of the wicked. 20The ⚓anger of the Lord will not turn back Until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart. ⚓In the latter days you will understand it perfectly. 21“I⚓ have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. 22But if they had stood in My counsel, And had caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have ⚓turned them from their evil way And from the evil of their doings. 23“Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord, “And not a God afar off? 24Can anyone ⚓hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; ⚓“Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord. 25“I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed!’ 26How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed theyare prophets of the deceit of their own heart, 27who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, ⚓as their fathers forgot My name for Baal. 28“The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?” says the Lord. 29“Is not My word like a ⚓fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? 30“Therefore behold, ⚓I am against the prophets,” says the Lord, “who steal My words every one from his neighbor. 31Behold, I am⚓against the prophets,” says the Lord, “who use their tongues and say, ‘He says.’ 32Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” says the Lord, “and tell them, and cause My people to err by their ⚓lies and by ⚓their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not ⚓profit this people at all,” says the Lord. 33“So when these people or the prophet or the priest ask you, saying, ‘What is ⚓the oracle of the Lord?’ you shall then say to them, ‘What oracle?’ I will even forsake you,” says the Lord. 34“And asfor the prophet and the priest and the people who say, ‘The oracle of the Lord!’ I will even punish that man and his house. 35Thus every one of you shall say to his neighbor, and every one to his brother, ‘What has the Lord answered?’ and, ‘What has the Lord spoken?’ 36And the oracle of the Lord you shall mention no more. For every man’s word will be his oracle, for you have ⚓perverted the words of the living God, the Lord of hosts, our God. 37Thus you shall say to the prophet, ‘What has the Lord answered you?’ and, ‘What has the Lord spoken?’ 38But since you say, ‘The oracle of the Lord!’ therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Because you say this word, “The oracle of the Lord!” and I have sent to you, saying, “Do not say, ‘The oracle of the Lord!’ ” 39therefore behold, I, even I, ⚓will utterly forget you and forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and willcastyou out of My presence. 40And I will bring ⚓an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual ⚓shame, which shall not be forgotten.’ ”
