NTU OB

(Phau Ntawv Nkauj 42–72)

Tus Neeg Poob Tebchaws tej lub Thov

  1Vajtswv, kuv kub siab lug
   nrhiav koj ib yam li tus muaslwj nrhiav tus dej ntws
   txias zias vim nws nqhis dej heev.
  2Vajtswv tus uas muaj sia nyob,
   kuv lub siab xav nyob ze koj.
  Thaum twg kuv thiaj li tau mus pehawm koj
   nyob tim ntsej tim muag?
  3Kuv quaj tas hnub tas hmo, kuv tej
   kua muag yog kuv cov mov noj,
  kuv cov yeebncuab niaj hnub nug kuv hais
   tias, “Koj tus Vajtswv nyob qhov twg?”

  4Thaum uas kuv xav txog lub neej yav dhau los,
   kuv tu siab kawg;
  thaum kuv nrog cov neeg coob coob
   mus rau hauv Vajtswv lub tsev,
  thiab kuv coj lawv mus tsheej pab hu
   nkauj zoo siab thiab qw qhuas Vajtswv.
  5Vim li cas kuv muaj kev nyuaj siab ua luaj?
  Vim li cas kuv yuav raug kev txomnyem ua luaj li?
  Kuv yuav muab kuv txojkev cia siab
   tso plhuav rau Vajtswv,
  thiab kuv yuav rov qhuas nws dua ib
   zaug ntxiv,
  nws yog kuv tus cawmseej thiab yog
   kuv tus Vajtswv.

  6-7Kuv poob tebchaws tuaj nyob ntawm no
  ua lub neej lwj siab ntsuav, kuv thiaj
   nco txog Vajtswv.
  Nws cia kev nyuaj siab los raug kuv ib
  yam li dej hiavtxwv ntas tej niag twv tuaj nyab kuv,
  thiab ib yam li dej tsaws tsag saum lub Roob Helemoos
  thiab lub Roob Mixales los rau ntawm tus dej Yauladees.

  8Thaum nruab hnub thov tus TSWV
   qhia nws txojkev hlub uas nyob mus li rau kuv;
  thaum tsaus ntuj kuv thiaj tau hu nkauj ua nws tsaug,
  kuv thov Vajtswv uas yog tus tuav kuv txojsia.

  9Kuv hais rau Vajtswv uas yog tus tiv thaiv kuv tias,
  “Vim li cas koj tsis nco qab kuv lawm?
  Vim li cas kuv yuav tau tiv kuv cov
   yeebncuab txojkev tsimtxom?”
  10Lawv thuam kuv, ua rau kuv siab ntsws lwj tas,
  vim lawv nug kuv tsis tseg hais tias,
   “Koj tus Vajtswv nyob qhov twg?”

  11Vim li cas kuv nyuaj siab ua luaj?
  Vim li cas kuv yuav raug kev txomnyem ua luaj li?
  Kuv yuav tso siab pluav rau Vajtswv,
   thiab kuv yuav rov qhuas nws dua,
  nws yog kuv tus cawmseej thiab yog
   kuv tus Vajtswv.

BOOK TWO: Psalms 42—72

Yearning for God in the Midst of Distresses

To the Chief Musician. A Contemplation of the sons of Korah.
  1As the deer pants for the water brooks,
   So pants my soul for You, O God.
   2My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
   When shall I come and appear before God?
   3My tears have been my food day and night,
   While they continually say to me,
   “Where is your God?”
  4When I remember these things,
   I pour out my soul within me.
   For I used to go with the multitude;
   I went with them to the house of God,
   With the voice of joy and praise,
   With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.
  5Why are you cast down, O my soul?
   And why are you disquieted within me?
   Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him
   For the help of His countenance.
  6O my God, my soul is cast down within me;
   Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan,
   And from the heights of Hermon,
   From the Hill Mizar.
   7Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls;
   All Your waves and billows have gone over me.
   8The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime,
   And in the night His song shall be with me—
   A prayer to the God of my life.
  9I will say to God my Rock,
   “Why have You forgotten me?
   Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
   10As with a breaking of my bones,
   My enemies reproach me,
   While they say to me all day long,
   “Where is your God?”
  11Why are you cast down, O my soul?
   And why are you disquieted within me?
   Hope in God;
   For I shall yet praise Him,
   The help of my countenance and my God.
