NTU PEB

(Phau Ntawv Nkauj 78–89)

Vajtswv Txojkev Ncaj Ncees

  1Vajtswv ua zoo kawg nkaus rau
   cov Yixalayees uas muaj lub siab ncaj ncees.
  2Tiamsis kuv twb tsis tshua muaj siab vam lawm;
   kuv kev ntseeg twb ploj yuav tas
  3rau qhov kuv khib cov neeg khavtheeb
  thaum kuv pom hais tias cov neeg
   siab phem lub neej zoo dua.

  4Lawv tsis tau tiv kev mob kev nkees,
   lawv noj qab nyob zoo thiab lawv muaj zog npho
  5lawv tsis tau tiv kev txomnyem li luag tej;
  thiab lawv tsis muaj kev ntxhov siab li luag lwm tus.
  6Yog li ntawd, lawv thiaj li muab
   kev khavtheeb
  los coj ib yam li coj xauv, thiab muab kev nruj tsiv
   los hnav ib yam li hnav lub tsho ntev;
  7lawv lub siab nthuav tej kev phem
   tawm tuaj,
  thiab lawv lub tswvyim npaj rawv ua kev phem kev qias.
  8Lawv luag lwm tus plig thiab hais tej
   lus phem lus qias;
  lawv khavtheeb thiab tuav hauv tsimtxom luag.
  9Lawv thuam Vajtswv tus uas nyob
   saum ntuj ceebtsheej
  thiab hais lus khavtheeb ntxhias
   yuam tej neeg ntiajteb no.
  10Txawm yog Vajtswv haivneeg los
   cia li yuam kev nrog cov neeg ntawd lawm,
   thiab nyiam ntseeg lawv tej lus heev.
  11Lawv hais tias, “Vajtswv yeej tsis
   paub li,
  tus uas muaj hwjchim loj kawg nkaus
   los yeej tsis paub zaj no li.”
  12Cov neeg siab phem yeej los zoo li ntawd,
  lawv muaj txhua yam nplua mias
   lawm los lawv yimhuab xav muaj ntau ntxiv.

  13Qhov uas kuv tswj kuv lub siab kom
   ua tau neeg zoo
  thiab tsis ua txhaum ntawd txawm
   tsis muaj nqis li los?
  14Vajtswv, koj tau ua rau kuv tiv
   kev txomnyem tas hnub;
  thiab koj rau txim rau kuv txhua tagkis sawv ntxov.

  15Yog kuv lam tau lam hais tej ntawd,
   ntshai kuv tsis coj lub neej zoo li koj haivneeg.
  16Zaj no nyuaj kawg li, tiamsis kuv
   muab los xav txhij xav txhua saib zoo li cas,
  txawm yog li ntawd los kuv yeej tsis totaub
  17mus txog thaum uas kuv mus rau
   hauv koj lub Tuamtsev.
  Thaum ntawd kuv mam paub tseeb txog tej uas yuav los
   raug cov neeg siab phem ntawd.

  18Qhov tseemceeb, koj yuav cia lawv
   taug txojkev uas nplua nplua kom lawv ntog
   thiab puastsuaj mus.
  19Tib ntsais muag xwb lawv cia li raug
   kev puastsuaj tas;
  thaum kawg lawv yuav poob mus rau
   txojkev txomnyem heev!
  20Lawv lub neej zoo ib yam li neeg ua
   npau suav,
  thaum nws tsim los nws tsis nco qab
   txhua yam tas lawm;
  Tus TSWV, thaum koj sawv tsees
   los, cov neeg ntawd yuav ploj ntais mus.

  21Thaum kuv chim thiab tu siab heev,
  22kuv ruam ib yam li tus tsiaj,
   kuv yeej tsis totaub tej uas koj ua hlo li.
  23Txawm yog li ntawd los kuv yeej
  nrog nraim koj nyob ua ke, thiab koj
  yeej tuav rawv kuv txhais tes.
  24Koj tej lus qhuab ntuas niaj hnub coj
   kuv txoj haukev,
  thiab txog thaum kawg koj yuav los tos kuv mus
   thiab pub rau kuv tau ntsejmuag.
  25Dhau koj lawm, tsis muaj lwm yam
   uas kuv xav tau nyob saum ntuj.
  Yog muaj koj lawm, kuv tsis ntshaw
   ib yam dabtsi hauv ntiajteb no li.
  26Kuv lub zog thiab kuv lub siab qaug
   zog zuj zus lawm,
  tiamsis Vajtswv yog kuv lub zog,
   nws yog tus uas kuv ntshaw mus ibtxhis.

  27Cov neeg uas tso koj tseg, yuav ploj
   mus tas;
  koj yuav ua kom cov neeg uas tsis
   muab siab npuab koj raug puastsuaj tas.
  28Tiamsis kuv mas zoo siab kawg,
   vim kuv nyob ze Vajtswv;
  kuv muaj tus TSWV uas yog Vajtswv
   ua tus tsomkwm kuv,
  thiab kuv yuav qhia txhua yam uas
   nws ua rau sawvdaws paub!

BOOK THREE: Psalms 73—89

The Tragedy of the Wicked, and the Blessedness of Trust in God

A Psalm of Asaph.
  1Truly God is good to Israel,
   To such as are pure in heart.
   2But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled;
   My steps had nearly slipped.
   3For I was envious of the boastful,
   When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
  4For there are no pangs in their death,
   But their strength is firm.
   5They are not in trouble as other men,
   Nor are they plagued like other men.
   6Therefore pride serves as their necklace;
   Violence covers them like a garment.
   7Their eyes bulge with abundance;
   They have more than heart could wish.
   8They scoff and speak wickedly concerning oppression;
   They speak loftily.
   9They set their mouth against the heavens,
   And their tongue walks through the earth.
  10Therefore his people return here,
   And waters of a full cup are drained by them.
   11And they say, “How does God know?
   And is there knowledge in the Most High?”
   12Behold, these are the ungodly,
   Who are always at ease;
   They increase in riches.
   13Surely I have cleansed my heart invain,
   And washed my hands in innocence.
   14For all day long I have been plagued,
   And chastened every morning.
  15If I had said, “I will speak thus,”
   Behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of Your children.
   16When I thought how to understand this,
   It was too painful for me—
   17Until I went into the sanctuary of God;
   Then I understood their end.
  18Surely You set them in slippery places;
   You cast them down to destruction.
   19Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment!
   They are utterly consumed with terrors.
   20As a dream when one awakes,
   So, Lord, when You awake,
   You shall despise their image.
  21Thus my heart was grieved,
   And I was vexed in my mind.
   22I was so foolish and ignorant;
   I was like a beast before You.
   23Nevertheless I am continually with You;
   You hold me by my right hand.
   24You will guide me with Your counsel,
   And afterward receive me to glory.
  25Whom have I in heaven but You?
   And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
   26My flesh and my heart fail;
   But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
  27For indeed, those who are far from You shall perish;
   You have destroyed all those who desert You for harlotry.
   28But it is good for me to draw near to God;
   I have put my trust in the Lord God,
   That I may declare all Your works.
