1Vajtswv, lwm haivneeg twb tuaj vij koj lub tebchaws lawm; lawv tuaj ua tsis huv rau koj lub Tuamtsev uas dawbhuv, thiab cia lub nroog Yeluxalees pob puas tas. 2Lawv cia koj haivneeg tej cev tuag rau dav npoj noj, thiab cia koj cov tubtxib tej cev tuag rau tej tsiaj qus noj. 3Lawv tua koj haivneeg tej ntshav tawm ntws cuag dej; ntshav ntws mus thoob plaws lub nroog Yeluxalees, thiab tsis muaj leejtwg faus cov neeg tuag ntawd li. 4Twb yog cov neeg uas nyob ibncig peb tuaj tsimtxom peb ntag; lawv luag peb plig thiab thuam peb lub npe kawg li.
5Tus TSWV, koj yuav chim rau peb mus ibtxhis li los? Koj txojkev chim yuav kub li hluavtaws mus tsis paub tuag li los? 6Cia koj txojkev chim mus rau haivneeg uas tsis pehawm koj, mus rau cov neeg uas tsis tsa ncauj thov koj. 7Vim lawv tau tuaj tua koj haivneeg tuag tas, thiab tau ua rau koj lub tebchaws puastsuaj tas lawm.
8Thov koj tsis txhob rau txim rau peb vim peb cov yawgkoob tej kev txhaum. Thov koj tshua peb; peb twb tas kev cia siab lawm. 9Vajtswv, thov pab peb thiab cawm peb; thov tso peb dim thiab zam peb tej kev txhaum kom koj tau koob meej. 10Vim li cas yuav cia lwm haivneeg nug peb hais tias, “Nej tus Vajtswv dua twg lawm?” Thov cia peb pom koj rau txim rau lwm haivneeg, vim lawv tuaj ua rau koj cov tubtxib nqaij ntuag ntshav nrog.
11Thov koj mloog cov neeg uas raug luag kaw tej suab quaj, thiab siv koj lub hwjchim tso cov neeg uas luag teem txim tuag rau lawv kom dim. 12Tus Tswv, thov koj ua xya npaug pauj rau cov neeg siab phem ntawd. Vim tej uas lawv tau ua txob thuam koj lub koob lub npe lawm. 13Ces peb cov uas yog koj haivneeg, pab yaj uas yog koj tug, yuav ua koj tsaug thiab qhuas koj lub npe mus ibtxhis li.

A psalm of Asaph.
1O God, the nations have invaded your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple, they have reduced Jerusalem to rubble. 2They have left the dead bodies of your servants as food for the birds of the sky, the flesh of your own people for the animals of the wild. 3They have poured out blood like water all around Jerusalem, and there is no one to bury the dead. 4We are objects of contempt to our neighbors, of scorn and derision to those around us.
5How long, Lord? Will you be angry forever? How long will your jealousy burn like fire? 6Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the kingdoms that do not call on your name; 7for they have devoured Jacob and devastated his homeland.
8Do not hold against us the sins of past generations; may your mercy come quickly to meet us, for we are in desperate need. 9Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake. 10Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?”
Before our eyes, make known among the nations that you avenge the outpoured blood of your servants. 11May the groans of the prisoners come before you; with your strong arm preserve those condemned to die. 12Pay back into the laps of our neighbors seven times the contempt they have hurled at you, Lord. 13Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will praise you forever; from generation to generation we will proclaim your praise.
