Yauj teb

1Mas Yauj teb tias,
  2“Qhov tseeb nej yeej yog neeg tseem ceeb,
   thiab tej tswvyim yuav nrog nej tuag mus.
  3Kuv yeej to taub ib yam li nej
   thiab kuv tsis qes dua nej.
   Tej nyuag zoo li no leejtwg yuav tsis paub?
  4Kuv ua lub chaw rau kuv cov phoojywg luag.
   Kuv txeev thov Vajtswv mas nws teb kuv,
  kuv ua tus ncaj ncees thiab tsis muaj chaw thuam
   los kuv tseem ua lub chaw rau luag thuam luag.
  5Tus uas noj qab nyob zoo lub siab
   saib tsis taus lub khuab phem,
   uas yeej muaj rau cov uas txhais kotaw plam.
  6Cov tub sab tej tsev ntaub nyob siab tus yees,
   thiab cov uas zes Vajtswv
   kuj nyob tso siab plhuav,
  yog cov uas lawv tus vajtswv
   nyob hauv lawv txhais tes.

  7“Cia li nug tej tsiaj txhu
   mas tej tsiaj yuav qhuab qhia koj,
  cia li nug tej nas noog saum nruab ntug,
   tej noog yuav qhia koj.
  8Lossis nug lub ntiajteb
   mas ntiajteb yuav qhuab qhia koj,
   thiab tej ntses hauv hiavtxwv yuav piav rau koj.
  9Txhua yam no muaj yam twg uas tsis paub tias
   yog Yawmsaub txhais tes tau ua tej no?
  10Txhua yam uas ciaj sia
   mas lawv txojsia nyob hauv Vajtswv txhais tes,
   thiab neeg sawvdaws tej pa huvsi kuj nyob hauv.
  11Lub qhov ntsej tsis tau sim tej lus
   ib yam li tus nplaig sim tej zaub mov lov?
  12Tswvyim nrog cov neeg laus nyob,
   thiab kev nkag siab nrog cov uas
   hnub nyoog nchav nyob.
  13Tswvyim thiab hwjchim yeej nrog nraim Vajtswv,
   nws txawj taw qhia thiab muaj kev nkag siab.
  14Yog nws muab rhuav lawm,
   tsis muaj leejtwg tsim tau dua tshiab,
  yog nws muab leejtwg kaw lawm,
   tsis muaj leejtwg tso tau.
  15Yog nws txwv dej mas dej yuav qhuav,
   yog nws tso dej tawm mus,
   dej kuj nyab ntiajteb.
  16Lub zog thiab tswvyim nrog nraim nws,
   tus uas raug dag ntxias
   thiab tus uas dag puavleej yog nws li.
  17Nws coj cov uas ua chaw sablaj mus nyob do cuas,
   thiab ua rau cov uas tu plaub ruam mus.
  18Nws daws tej saw hlau uas vajntxwv khi luag,
   thiab ua siv rau tej vajntxwv sia ntawm duav.
  19Nws coj cov povthawj mus nyob do cuas,
   thiab muab cov uas muaj hwjchim laim pov tseg.
  20Nws ua rau cov uas luag tso siab tau
   nyob ntsiag to,
  thiab nws muab cov kev txwj laus
   tej kev txawj ntse rho mus.
  21Nws rhuav tshem cov uas ua thawj lub meej mom,
   thiab nws daws cov uas muaj zog txoj siv tawv.
  22Nws coj tej uas nyob tob
   tawm hauv qhov tsaus ntuj los,
  thiab coj txojkev tsaus ntuj nti
   los rau hauv txojkev kaj.
  23Nws ua tau rau tej tebchaws loj tuaj
   thiab muab ua kom puam tsuaj.
  Nws nthuav tej tebchaws dav tuaj
   thiab ua rau lawv tawg ua sab ua sua.
  24Nws rho txojkev txawj ntse tawm
   ntawm cov uas ua hlob hauv ntiajteb mus,
  thiab ua kom lawv mus mus los los
   hauv tebchaws moj sab qhua
   uas tsis muaj kev taug.
  25Lawv xuas dub hauv qhov tsaus ntuj
   tsis muaj qhov kaj li,
  thiab nws ua kom lawv ntog nuj nuag
   yam li tus uas qaug cawv.

Job

1Then Job replied:
  2“Doubtless you are the only people who matter,
   and wisdom will die with you!
  3But I have a mind as well as you;
   I am not inferior to you.
   Who does not know all these things?

  4“I have become a laughingstock to my friends,
   though I called on God and he answered—
   a mere laughingstock, though righteous and blameless!
  5Those who are at ease have contempt for misfortune
   as the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
  6The tents of marauders are undisturbed,
   and those who provoke God are secure—
   those God has in his hand.

  7“But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
   or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
  8or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
   or let the fish in the sea inform you.
  9Which of all these does not know
   that the hand of the Lord has done this?
  10In his hand is the life of every creature
   and the breath of all mankind.
  11Does not the ear test words
   as the tongue tastes food?
  12Is not wisdom found among the aged?
   Does not long life bring understanding?

  13“To God belong wisdom and power;
   counsel and understanding are his.
  14What he tears down cannot be rebuilt;
   those he imprisons cannot be released.
  15If he holds back the waters, there is drought;
   if he lets them loose, they devastate the land.
  16To him belong strength and insight;
   both deceived and deceiver are his.
  17He leads rulers away stripped
   and makes fools of judges.
  18He takes off the shackles put on by kings
   and ties a loincloth around their waist.
  19He leads priests away stripped
   and overthrows officials long established.
  20He silences the lips of trusted advisers
   and takes away the discernment of elders.
  21He pours contempt on nobles
   and disarms the mighty.
  22He reveals the deep things of darkness
   and brings utter darkness into the light.
  23He makes nations great, and destroys them;
   he enlarges nations, and disperses them.
  24He deprives the leaders of the earth of their reason;
   he makes them wander in a trackless waste.
  25They grope in darkness with no light;
   he makes them stagger like drunkards.
