Thov Vajtswv zam txim

Sau rau tus thawj coj hu nkauj. Zaj nkauj uas Davi sau rau thaum xibhwb Nathas uas cev Vajtswv lus hais rau nws tom qab uas Davi mus nrog Npasenpa pw.
1Au Vajtswv, thov koj khuvleej kuv
raws li koj txojkev hlub uas ruaj khov,
thov tshem kuv tej kev fav xeeb kom ploj mus
   raws li koj txojkev khuvleej
   uas muaj nplua mias.
2Thov ntxuav kuv tej kev phem kev qias ploj tag,
thiab ntxuav kom kuv dawb huv tsis muaj txim.
3Kuv paub kuv txojkev fav xeeb,
   thiab kuv lub txim
   nyob rawv ntawm kuv xubntiag.
4Kuv tau ua txhaum rau koj,
yog ua rau koj tib leeg xwb,
thiab ua tau tej uas koj pom tias phem kawg,
koj thiaj txiav txim raug cai,
thiab qhov uas koj rau txim
   tsis muaj chaw thuam li.
5Saib maj, kuv yeej yug los hauv txojkev txhaum,
   thiab kuv niam xeeb kuv
   hauv txojkev txhaum txim.
6Koj yeej xav yuav qhov tseeb hauv nruab siab,
vim li no thov koj qhia tswvyim
   rau hauv kuv lub siab.
  7Thov muab zaub txig theem
ua kevcai ntxuav kuv, kuv thiaj li huv,
  thov ntxuav kuv,
kuv thiaj li dawb dua daus xib daus npu.
8Thov cia kuv hnov txojkev xyiv fab kev zoo siab,
thov cia kuv tej pob txha
uas koj tsoo ntsoog lawd rov xyiv fab.
9Thov fee plhu ntawm kuv lub txim,
thiab tshem kuv tej kev txhaum txim huvsi mus.

  10Au Vajtswv, thov koj tsim
lub siab dawb huv rau hauv kuv,
thiab pub lub siab tshiab ruaj khov rau kuv.
11Tsis txhob muab kuv laim pov tseg
   ntawm koj lub xubntiag mus,
thiab tsis txhob coj koj tus Ntsuj Plig
uas dawb huv ncaim kuv mus.
  12Thov pub txojkev xyiv fab
uas koj cawm kuv dim rov rau kuv,
  thiab thov pub kuv
muaj lub siab npuab koj mus li.

13Mas kuv yuav qhia cov uas fav xeeb
   paub koj txojkev,
  thiab cov neeg muaj txim
   yuav rov los cuag koj.
14Au Vajtswv koj yog tus Vajtswv
   uas cawm kuv dim,
  thov koj cawm kuv dim
qhov uas ua rau luag los ntshav,
mas kuv tus nplaig yuav hu nkauj
txog qhov uas koj cawm dim.
15Au tus Tswv, thov koj qheb
   kuv lub qhov ncauj,
  mas kuv daim tawv ncauj
thiaj hais tej lus uas qhuas koj.
16Koj tsis zoo siab rau tej tsiaj uas muab xyeem.
Txawm yog kuv ua kevcai hlawv xyeem
los koj tsis txaus siab yuav.
17Tej uas muab xyeem es Vajtswv txaus siab
yuav yog lub siab mos siab muag.
Au Vajtswv, koj yuav tsis fee plhu
ntawm lub siab mos siab muag
   uas lees txim tiag tiag.
18Thov koj ua zoo rau Xi‑oo
raws li koj lub siab nyiam,
thov rov ua ntsa loog thaiv Yeluxalees.
19Mas koj yuav zoo siab rau tej tsiaj
uas muab xyeem raug kev raug cai,
  yog tej uas tua xyeem
thiab tej uas muab hlawv kheej xyeem.
Mas yuav muab txiv nyuj xyeem
   rau saum koj lub thaj.

A Prayer of Repentance

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
1Have mercy upon me, O God,
   According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
   Blot out my transgressions.
2Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
  3For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,
   And blameless when You judge.
5Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
  7Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.
10Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Yourgenerous Spirit.
13Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.
14Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
   The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
   15O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
   16For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
  18Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
   Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
   With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.
